  • Mental health series - Episode 3 Hello Anxiety, Let's jump to the worse conclusion in a single bound
In this episode, Mike and I talk about all things anxiety and Mike shares some intervention based approach to manage and cope with anxiety - from taking one day at a time, mindfulness to earthing techniques and meditation. Anxiety has kind of become a part of our new normal now. People with anxiety don’t have one train of thoughts, they have several trains on four tracks that narrowly avoid each other when paths cross and all the conductors are screaming. So can we allow ourselves to simply breath at the count of 5...4...3...2...1! Breathe in and breathe out!
Mike Clark, M.Ed., is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant based in Oklahoma City, OK. By harnessing the power of the mind, athletes, musicians and corporations have improved mental performance through individually tailored interventions rooted in rich psychological theory. Mike’s interest in personal improvement extends beyond sport and performance as he was previously a trauma therapist where he helped others work through the aftermath of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and other trauma related disorders which continues to shape the way he views wellness and daily functioning.

  • Mental health series - Episode 1 Introduction to 'A Thoughtful Pill for your mind'
Welcome to the new series of THP.
I am so excited to connect with all of you once again.
It might seem self-evident, yet evidently everyone doesn’t recognize the importance of good mental health. Mental health is not a destination, it’s a process. At every stage in your life, you are going to be presented with various circumstances – and how you learn to manage those circumstances will determine the outcome of your mental health. In times of uncertainty and stress, we all cope differently. Some channel their restless minds into new hobbies, fitness or family meal times, while others simply take a day at a time, focusing on small moments of joy.
But none of us are immune to worry. It’s impossible for anyone to be happy every moment of every day. And when the down days strike, we need to be kind to ourselves.
Be patient. Seek stillness. Cultivate good mental health habits, be it mindfulness, time out, fresh air every day, meditation, painting, baking, anything that soothes your mind.
Most importantly, remember that this too shall pass. Nothing is forever, clouds will pass, and the sun will shine again.
In this series we are going to discuss about mental health and how we can take the necessary steps to look after our mental health, We have rounded up some insights, deep and meaningful conversations with some renowned guest speakers and chose the best mental health episodes to help you through those low moments. So join us in the coming weeks and together we can explore various dimensions of mental health.

  • Relationship series: Episode 8 - The end of a new beginning

We are finally coming to an end of the relationship series. Each of the episodes in the series have something to add into your lives. From value, purpose, meaning, empowerment or transformation. So find out what you relate to the most, and cultivate that deep within your soul and make it a lifestyle to slowly transform your relationship not with just your partner but also with yourself.

It is always a pleasure connecting with all of you through this platform and I strongly feel that deep within we are all more similar than we different. I am sending you so much of love, happiness, blessing. It’s on its way. Just open your arms and embrace it. Allow yourself to receive, to welcome and to believe that you deserve all the happiness in this world.

One thing that I am learning and want to share it with you guys before I end the series today is that – Every day when you wake up in the morning, smile, without any reason and ask yourself – What is driving you today? Fear or Faith? In that moment, you’ll find yourself taking control of your life. And ask this question every single day. And then observe how you are being transformed into empowering yourself and others around you.

I wish you stay happy, and I pray that your cup overflows with love and you allow yourself to manifest more of it to translate into your life each and every single day. I will see you next week with a new series, exciting topics, and some more wonderful guests who will change the story of our lives. Until then stay safe, stay connected and stay happy. See you guys very soon.

  • Relationship series: Episode 4: Communication in relationships

This week's episode revolves around the significance of communication in relationships. Have you ever wondered why communication is important in a relationship? Well, healthy communication brings transparency into any kind of relationship and tackling these issues thus becomes easier. Lack of effective communication can cause many unwanted problems in your relationship. So, it is very important that you try to communicate effectively with your partner. Communication instils lots of trust in any relationships. It is difficult to know how someone feels if they refuse to communicate how they feel. Communication is based off of four main aspects: considering your partner’s point of view, don’t point blame, taking criticism gracefully and listening. When you experience a positive emotional connection with your partner, you feel safe and happy. When people stop communicating well, they stop relating well, and times of change or stress can really bring out the disconnect. It may sound simplistic, but as long as you are communicating, you can usually work through whatever problems you’re facing. From identifying your partner's communication style to improving your relationship with them - everything will be covered in this episode. Tune in now!

  • Relationship series: Episode 3: Insecurities in relationships

This week's episode revolves around causes of insecurities in relationships and finding a way to cope with insecurities. A feeling of insecurity in your relationship can originate from various places. On the off chance that you and your partner haven't been conversing enough about issues or putting forth an attempt to keep up your connection, you may begin to feel like your relationship is sinking. Insecurity can also stem from changes in your relationship. For example, in the event that you've moved in together or if you’re newly married, you might be feeling a wide range of new strains and weights. In the event that you can't examine these together, you can begin to feel less positive about your capacity to fill in as partners. Insecurities can also stem from issues that revolve around self-image issues and confidence. For example, in case you're feeling especially low after a progression of frustrations in your work life or less content with your physical appearance due to an increase in your weight, this could make you stress over your relationship. Sometimes, we might carry certain behaviours, actions, and feelings from our past relationships into the present one – including our family members. In the event where there's too much of insecurity, it can create a harmful air in the relationship, create a toxic atmosphere and can shake your confidence. At the point when a bit of insecurity starts to surface, it can frequently seem innocuous and to some degree cute. A bit of insecurity is normal, it often comes with new experiences. But if it sinks its teeth too deeply into the relationship, it can make you act out of character and destroy the relationship.

  • Relationship series: Episode 2: Argument Is war

Arguments are healthy when you’ll learn to ‘agree to disagree’ and respect each others point of view and it becomes unhealthy when you’re constantly focused on putting the other person down or bickering and attacking at them repetitively. Bickering is when every time one person says something the other person has a reaction to it. There is a constant friction which is quite negative unlike a positive spark. Know that when you are in a critical mode, you are constantly reacting and hardly reflecting. Reflection requires time, and space to comprehend what is it that the other person meant. Well, argument is usually associated with proving a point. When we argue, we assume either of the two: I am right or you are right. Which is exactly why its important to find a middle ground and its important to balance out the entire process of action and reaction. So one of the important dynamic of arguments is that: Neither of you should be in a position to weigh whether what ‘situation or event’ is worthy being angry and upset. Using “I-feel statements” works best when your emotions seem overwhelming and you want to lash out at your partner. Recognise there are two problems: your emotions and the situation: when you argue with your partner, you’re functioning from a place where your emotional needs were left unmet and because you are emotionally volatile you fail to distinguish between what the actual problem at hand is. I want you to recognise when the argument becomes too heated, step away for a while and regain your perspective. Allow your mind to cool down by taking a walk or spending some time alone. Usually, you can approach the conflict with a renewed attitude once you clear your head. Every couple goes through rough patches but constant fighting in a relationship is tiring and draining. When you stop fighting, you enjoy your relationship – and each other – more. Take these steps to your next argument and learn to solve the conflict in a healthy and productive way.
