Dr. Renee was a psycho-oncologist at a children's hospital and was then diagnosed with breast cancer. During her rollercoaster road back to health, she became a competitive bodybuilder to reclaim control over her body. This deepened her understanding of the mind-body connection, which she has developed into a unique practice at the Center. She released a memoir, Chemo Muscles, earlier this year.

I got introduced to today's guest by my very first podcast guest awhile back. Brad Farris is the Principal Advisor at Anchor Advisors, and their specialty is helping companies break through the wall to get from 1 million in sales, up to 3-5 million. Turns out it's a common sticking point with many small businesses, which is pretty comforting. If you're almost hitting that wall, feeling like you're at your limit and don't know how to scale, today's episode should help get you unstuck. Enjoy the listen.

In an age where people are kinda starved for that human connection, Matt Martin and his team found a way to connect two somewhat unlikely demographics: stars and their fans.
The platform is called Starsona, and during the downtime in the entertainment industry where people are struggling to find work, it's built to monetize the connection between athletes, entertainers and influencers to the very people who like them. Enjoy the listen.

It's a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it! Offices can get messy but fortunately we've got someone on the case. I got the chance to talk with first-time podcast guest Pam Jamison today,
Owner of Bright Spot Cleaning, about her entrepreneurial journey. She didn't start off thinking she was going to be a business owner, but with her experience and a happenstance meeting with a previous boss, she had the opportunity to take the helm of a successful company. Using her expert janitorial skills that she'd accrued over years of work, she's begun building and scaling her new venture into a more sustainable model. Listen in to hear how she overcame her fear to jump into the business owner world, and also hear stories about some of the dirtiest jobs she's had to take care of.

Fellow podcast host Mark Kumar joined me today and we had a great time talking about how he helps business owners flip the script. With many people trying to form their life around their business, he suggests the opposite: find what you're truly passionate about, and build your business around that. Taking an unorthodox approach of doing what he calls "The Midnight Test", he says that whatever it is that you're passionate about, if you can be woken up at midnight and answer a question about it in 30 seconds, you're in pretty good shape. We even had a real world example where he tested the process on me, and we solved a pretty sticky challenge I've been having for 8 years. I gotta hurry up and take some notes and firm up some ideas, so I'll leave you to it.
