After a lackluster set of divisional weekend games, we expected excitement from yesterday's games and we got it, even if the outcomes of the games were disappointing to most. Rams and Patriots, really? We may all hate the Patriots with every fiber of our collective being, but there's no denying the greatness of Brady, Belichick, and company. The missed call in the NFC game yesterday was unacceptable, and it highlights a problem with refs in the NFL. Some are saying that refs need to be full-time, and though there might be truth to that, it isn't the full solution. The league needs to take more time to develop good refs, use former pro and college players that could actually play the game, and maybe younger guys with better reaction time. Ben Austro of FootballZebras.com joins the show to discuss the blown call. How did this get missed?

Saints owner Gayle Benson released a statement this afternoon ripping the NFL for lack of fairness and integrity following the blown call in the NFC Championship game. Those are strong words coming from an owner, but she's angry, and who could blame her? Both games went into overtime yesterday, and it brings up the question, is the league's current strategy for handling overtimes the right one? A coin flip more or less decides who will win. We take texts at 49451 on yesterday's games, and Kevin takes heat for not knowing where Kittitas is located. Softy tells Super Bowl hotel horror stories, and Ian brings up the Hawks - Patriots Super Bowl.

The outrage every time the Hawks make a move never seems to end. The reactions to the Paxton Lynch acquisition yesterday were over the top. We've discussed it before; the team was supposed to be rebuilding this year and they made their playoffs. So far 9-7 has been the low point. Sometimes you have to trust the process and let the team figure out what's going to work best. It seems to be working out okay so far. Finally it looks like Edgar is going to make the Hall of Fame in 2019 assuming the current trend in votes holds. Harold Reynolds joins the show to discuss Edgar, his career, and why he deserves to get in. Ian Rapoport updates us on the latest NFL news from coaching moves to injury updates for this weekend's conference championship games.

With all of the success Schneider and Carroll have had over the last several years, shouldn't we have some faith that they know what they're doing? Hundley was insurance. Yes, it cost a sixth round pick, but they needed to do something to be prepared in case Russ got hurt. Schneider will make a bunch of trades, work his magic, and we'll get that pick back and more. Things will be fine. Relax! There's obviously no Seahawks game to preview, but we thought we'd bring Greg Cosell on to break down both conference championship games.
