The core tenet of this show is to bring you ideas, people and insights that can help you unlock more of your potential.
Sometimes it’s inspiring examples of people that have achieved amazing things, sometimes it’s people that bring amazing clarity to what’s needed to do amazing things and live an extraordinary life…on your terms.
I was reminded recently of one of the stark data points that exist on living life to the fullest and that is the greatest regret of people at the end of their life.
This is often described as “I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.“
And isn’t that so true.
The most fundamental difference between people who are deeply fulfilled and those that are miserable or regretful, is that their life conditions matched their expectations of themselves.
Yet as our world seems to move with more pace, more urgency, more demands and more choice than ever before, it’s not easy to make the tough decisions to make big changes to get in more alignment.
So coming back to that greatest regret…it’s not that I just lived life true to myself…it’s specifically “I wish I had the COURAGE to live a life true to myself”
Courage — is so much easier to say that to act with at times.
There’s no doubt that some of the biggest changes or risks I’ve taken — moving countries, changing careers, ending relationships — required courage because I was freaking out when I thought about doing what I wanted to do.
And as you embark on the year ahead, I want you to act with more courage and really go for what you really, really want.
To help you with that, I’m super excited to bring you today’s guest, Billy Anderson.
When I think of courage, I think of Billy.
He is a genuine expert on helping people breakthrough their fears and creating a life that is true to them.
He has so many nuggets of wisdom in this episode, you’ve got to grab your pen and be ready to take notes. I think this is a podcast you’ll want to listen to more than once.

It’s an all too common cultural phenomenon, to come to the end of a year and in spite of any and all successes in the past year, there can be a feeling of regret, or a pit in the stomach, that there was so much more that could have been experienced, achieved and contributed…if only you were more focused and productive.
If only you didn’t spend so much time on your emails, or in purposeless meetings, or social media, or binge watching Netflix.
Personally, over the last decade or so I’ve had the stark realization that each year seems to be passing by with more speed than the previous year – which then means that this upcoming year will be even more of a blur than 2019 – so with that wisdom from Captain Obvious I better knuckle down and start getting to work…
Or maybe that’s exactly the wrong thing to do.
Do you even stop to interrogate your own strategies for success and progress?
What if the exact way of working you THINK will get you to your goals is the exact thing that’s getting in your way.
This is an area of personal exploration that deserves the expertise and insights of a seasoned scientific analyst.
So I’m excited to bring you today’s guest, Sahar Yousef.
Sahar is someone we need to listen to: her work and research as a cognitive neuroscientist clearly shows that there are scientific realities about how the human brain works and our current work culture by-and-large is not in line with this reality.
As you listen to this episode, see if you can identify where your day-to-day approach to work, your to-do lists, your mobile phone…could use a high-performing, high-productivity upgrade.
You’ll be glad you did.
After all, 2020 will fly by and you owe it your life to bring the science of productivity and make the most of the days and months ahead.

When I reflect on the year that was, and all the conversations I’ve had with my private clients and in workshops, there is no doubt that there was one big theme.
While the issues that people bring to the conversation are varied — dissatisfaction in their work or career, not taking care of their body enough, desiring more in their relationships, craving to take their performance to the next level…what underpins all that is a real, honest desire to live in more congruence with who they want to be…how they want to show up in their world.
Tactical strategies for improving their outward actions are essential, but the greatest transformations, in fact, the greatest sense of liberation — being freed to rise up into your absolute potential, always take the path to revealing the authentic you.
So today I’m delighted to bring a conversation with my friend, Allan Kleynhans. Not only does Allan bring a tonnes of truth bombs into our chat but he also comes from profound experiences. Growing up in apartheid South Africa he saw things that young boys should never see. Serving in the military during a civil war brought him extraordinary challenges and he battle with substance abuse took him further away from the truth.
Until he woke up.
Now — after many years of deep personal work and liberating him from his past, Allan is sharing his message with the world as a high-demand speaker and performance coach.
