In this Psalm, David lays out the characteristics of living a blameless life before the Lord. 

Today we look at one of the most misquoted verses - Romans 8:28. But it's a verse that should give us confidence to see life differently than those who don't follow Him.

Jesus speaks to his disciples regarding his departure and the Spirit's arrival.

Jesus promises that He will send His followers another Helper or Advocate. When Jesus returns to the Father in His Ascension the Holy Spirit will be sent to His follower to comfort, strengthen, and act as an advocate. 

After they were arrested and warned Peter and John join the church for prayer. The pray Psalm 2 and they are filled with boldness to preach. 

Paul tells us to rejoice always, give thanks in every circumstance, and pray continually. Why? Because it's going to take constant communication with a Father who loves us that will get us to rejoice always, even in the face of life's stresses.

James is beheaded and Peter imprisoned. The disciples of Jesus enter into prayer to request God's hand over Peter. An angel appears to Peter and delivers him from prison. Peter comes to his senses and recognizes that the Lord has saved him.

Peter and John are arrested and appear before the Sanhedrin for preaching about Jesus. In this passage, we learn several things. We learn that the gospel brings boldness to the followers of Christ. We learn that Jesus makes exclusive claims. We also learn a valuable principle when dealing with issues of the government. When should Christians no longer obey the governmental authorities? How do we balance Romans 13 and Acts 4?
