Today Raphaela and I ask you to contemplate how you feel about failure.
The fear of failure can, even unknowingly, often be the gatekeeper to whether or not we have permission to live our lives in the ways that are most meaningful to us.
It's so relatable to be afraid of failing, while also so very vital to reconsider what you might make that word mean.
Does the fear of failure keep you sidelined? Or keep you striving to prove yourself? To the point where you've perhaps lost some of the most beautiful parts of who you are or how you'd like to live?
It's so easy to accidentally let the idea of failure keep us from the things that we love the most.
This topic has far reaching terrain, so we just touch into it in this episode. However, even with these small reframes, we believe that it can lead you quite readily to new possibilities!

While that could sound at times like a catch phrase, Dan brings illustrative examples as he tangibly explains why this is so meaningful.
He also brings charm and depth to topics that could otherwise seem too familiar.
With professional expertise along with personal candor, he delves into the layers of authenticity, identity, marginalization, stuck states, connection and more.
All the while, Dan is organically very welcoming, relatable, inspiring and safe - thus allowing us who listen the space to lean even more deeply into our own reflections.
I am beyond honored and so excited to have Dan on the podcast today.

In today's episode, Kelli Willson and I talk candidly and from our hearts about self-worth, identity and connection.
We consider what it means to live in a society that can be damaging in its judgments, and how this can even unconsciously ebb away at our self-perception. We discuss how being mindful of these constructs can help to foster the knowing of our true identities and how that can inform the ways we relate and show up in the world.
I'm so grateful to Kelli Willson who, at a moment's notice, very graciously and generously came on as a guest co-host today. As I was preparing to do this episode solo, I couldn't stop thinking about how Kelli would be THE perfect person to speak on this topic.
Kelli is an educator and a spiritual leader who is BELOVED. No matter where in the world she goes, everyone is drawn to her. She genuinely loves people in a way that I can't even describe. It's an immensity of trueness that is so felt by anyone who crosses her path.
She brings this same candor, thoughtfulness, attunement and heartfelt perspectives to our conversation. I couldn't be more grateful to have her on the show.
Kelli Willson is an educator and spiritual leader who considers herself a lifelong learner. She has an extraordinary love for her family and is a beloved and active community member. She’s a lover of life and people, and has repeatedly been described as "someone who has never met a stranger."

Cathryn Boult is someone to whom people are "magically" drawn. She is not only an incredibly accomplished magician and artist of many forms, but she also very naturally creates deep bonds of friendship and community wherever she goes.
Today Cat shares her insights about finding and creating safe spaces and how absolutely vital it is for life, relationships, creativity and more.
Safe spaces can sometimes be dismissed too easily as being obviously needed, but in so doing, we may not realize how unsafe we actually were. This could lead to a unexpressed talents, quieted opinions or abandoned passions.
Cat explains how safety, or lack thereof, can ultimately affect the ways in which you express yourself as well as the ways in which you experience your everyday life.
She embodies tenderness, empowerment, humor, charm, depth and everything in between as she shares how wonderful it is to be an authentic, unfiltered person.
I'm beyond grateful to have her as a guest on the podcast.

Today I was unexpectedly more vulnerable than I even expected. It's not that I wouldn't be forthcoming but I didn't know that my conversation with you would go where it did. I spoke a bit unfiltered and hope (and believe!) that together we can give each other the buoyancy to do and contribute what we really love in this ONE life that we get to live.

Near the end of my mom's life, she shared some beautiful, well-earned advice with me. My hope is that her sentiments will be an antidote for self-doubt in both ourselves and others while also propagating gratitude.
My mom passed nearly 20 years ago - how I wish I could thank her for this. I miss you and love you so much, Mom.

Sometimes we can create “scary” stories that aren’t even true. We might make something up out of nothing in order to protect ourselves or believe something untrue out of fear.
Today Raphaela and I riff a short bit on when and why we make up these scary stories and how they might be holding us back.
Today we invite you to consider how true some of your beliefs may be. Laughingly, Raphaela and I also share that we likewise have situations right now where we are mindfully questioning the stories we tell ourselves.
Let us know how this episode lands for you!

As we look to live fully imagined lives, I often contemplate what it is that can cause incredibly gifted, sure-footed people to still feel hesitancy.
It's so common amidst our evaluative society to feel some semblance of fear, doubt or stuck-ness.
Sometimes you may not even notice the things that might be slowly ebbing away at your self-belief.
Mindfulness of how things impact us as well as the dismantling of uninvited deterrents are such important things to consider.
This episode is not to take away from the many wonderful benefits of social media, but today Daniel and I talk about some of the ways that social media usage might, even subconsciously, be affecting us.
It's a gigantic topic and one that has its relevancy now. We'd love to know your thoughts too.
