Having joined the Junge Sinfonie Köln orchestra myself almost a year ago, I’m thrilled to finally get Alexander and Sebastian Hässy on the podcast.

Alex is the principal oboe, Sebastian is the principal bassoon/conductor and they’re both the sons of the orchestra’s founder, composer and local legend Gunter Hässy.

They talk to me all about the orchestra, professionalism vs hobby playing, legacy and if Kölsch is better than Guinness.
