• Why is can’t we just go straight to God with confession?
• (5:33) what is the purpose of confession?
• (11:06) Carol - I was raised protestant and converted in 1991 in Newark New Jersey. I went through RCIA. Many people were reluctant or scared about confession. We were advised if we didn't want to do that, there was a universal confession where you go through the act of contrition. I never have gone to confession, however, I have been struggling and really want to go. I feel ashamed that I've never go.
• (16:51) Tim - If I go to confession and confess my sins, but intentionally don't confess a sin, are the others forgiven?

• Sal - I'm 80 years old. Cradle Catholic. I've been thinking about sins that I don't know if I confessed them or not. Should I make an appointment with a priest? When I go to confession, there is usually a long line.
• (27:59) Email from Mary - How do you battle a sin when you have an affection for sin?
• What is an examination of conscience?
• (34:07) Kathleen - I would go to confession maybe 2-3 times a year. Son and husband left the church. I started going once a week. Transformation happened over the last year. I began recognizing the graces. Husband and others asked about the transformation. Peace and joy in my heart. I have had such graces from confession.
• Victor - What am I supposed to say when I go into the confessional? How do I start? First words...Father forgive me for I have sinned or something else. I'm a convert.

• Jane - I have been going to confession quite regularly. Our priest said this is an opportunity to have a relationship with Jesus. Confession isn't there to make you feel bad, but bind that sever. Made such an impression on me. More priests should tell parishioners that.
• (43:51) Theresa - I have a hard time forgiving myself. I have OCD. I caused a lot of pain through my ignorance have trouble getting over it.

• When did the Church Give Mary the title Mother of the Church?
• (9:44) what is Mary’s role as Mother of the Church?
• (16:40) Nora - When I was taking care of my mom in hospice. I grew up protestant and wasn't introduced to her until my teens. At that time, I really came to understand her power and her healing. We were praying the rosary when she passed. The feeling of the presence was so comforting.

• Carl - Rosary on the 7 sorrows of Mary. Wanted to get some clarification on the Rosary. The origin of the 7 sorrows Rosary and how it came to be and tied with the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit.
• (26:13) Maritza - 2016, My mom passed away. 2017 my dad passed away. I buried my mom on Dec 8, 2016, and Dad on Dec 8, 2017. I started receiving Rosaries from all over the world. I didn't understand what it meant. Finally, I understood, Mary wanted me to start praying the Rosary. She walked me to Jesus. I'm now more active in church.

• Heidi - She helped us get our house. Helped me get my CPA. There's been so many things Mary has helped me with and she's been wonderful to us.

• Mike - Went to the altar at my mom's funeral during the singing of Ave Maria. Bouquet of flowers and offered prayers during the singing of that song. We were offering prayers of thanksgiving.
• (45:16) Catherine - Mary has come into my life in so many ways: I met my husband at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. I had a bad situation and ended up getting a job at Our Lady of Assumption School. Daughter was born on Feast of Immaculate Conception. House hit by tornado...brought statue into house before that and we were right by the statue in the basement.
• Abby - Cradle catholic, Catholic Schools, etc, but very mechanical faith and not really feeling it. Not going to confession for 17 years. After my son's confirmation, I was moved to go to confession and the flood gates opened in my heart. She called me back the week my parish asked me to become more involved.

• Rita - I'm wondering if one of the reasons for the visitation was to prepare Mary for what was coming. She was a complete virgin and didn't know about childbirth. She was close to Elizabeth and that might have given her some reassurance about what was happening to her.
• (42:13) Bob - How has Mary come into our life in a special way...through the many religious sisters and nuns. They have a special relationship with Jesus. I know many who have given their life to the Lord. Always filled with joy.

• (19:12) Mary Ellen - I've struggled with mental health all my life. 60 years old. Suicidal, but I've always been faithful Catholic. I love God and have had a good relationship with Him. Even though I've been in and out of the hospital many times, I'm on meds that keep me steady and I've always had a deep faith life, but only since I've had good mental health therapy and meds.

• (30:17) Doug - I struggle with schizophrenia. I'm consecrated to St. Dymphna. I've seen many things with this illness. Struggled throughout most of my life. I live in a mental health community and we all struggle with many different diseases. Every day I wake up with my devotionals and spiritual guidance. Want to thank you all for bringing awareness.
