Margot takes us to the silver screen with the murder of Bob Crane, also known as Colonel Robert Hogan on the show "Hogan's Heroes." The case's many possible suspects, along with Crane's X-rated hobbies, generate more questions than answers.

First, Margot blows our minds with the incredible true story of Phineas Gage - a man who was working on the railroad when an accidental explosion caused a 13 pound rod to go through his head. By some miracle he survived, but afterwards he was "no longer Gage." This is considered to be a groundbreaking case for neuroscience and psychology.

Then, Elizabeth tells us of the tragic Holodomor Genocide of Soviet Ukraine in the 1930s. This man-made famine led by Stalin claimed the lives of nearly 4 million people between 1932-1933.

Then, Elizabeth dives into the tragic incident of The Dyatlov Pass, where a group of college friends leave for a cross country skiing trip in 1959 and never make it home. Was it caused by a force of nature, a military experiment, or the Russian yeti?

Elizabeth tells the tale of the Golden State Killer, whose heinous crime spree went unsolved until a genetic genealogist got involved. When the police came for him, he told them he had a roast in the oven, so they let him go. (Just kidding. He tried, though.)

Margot covers the Slender Man stabbing, where two 12-year-old girls attempted to murder their best friend in order to win the favor of the fictional, yet terrifying, Slender Man. Instead of living with him in his home in the woods, they ended up being tried as adults in an unprecedented case.
