The Investigators

Despite bizarre circumstances at the scene, a young mother’s death is ruled natural. Over thirty years later her autopsy is in question and her daughter wants answers. Follow along as The Investigators take a deep dive into the mysterious death of Lori Lee "Sled Dog" Malloy.

This is not your typical weekly true crime podcast. Todd McComas, a retired police detective and comedian, partners with award-winning investigative journalist Jessica Noll to share their unique, informal style of case analysis. Together, they combine 40+ years of investigative experience to break down key elements of the timeline and investigation.

At the heart of every case is the victim's story, so this is a job they take seriously. But, because they don't take themselves seriously, listeners get the expert analysis and commentary they should expect, mixed with enough witty banter to feel like they're among friends.

Full episodes begin Wednesday, August 30th.

Brett & Alice from the hit podcast The Prosecutors join Todd to discuss some cases and talk about this new true crime journey they're taking together.

Retired Sgt. John Mattingly of the Louisville Metro Police Department was the officer shot during the execution of the search warrant on Breonna Taylor's apartment. He is here to share his story.

I had a great conversation with veteran crime scene investigator and host of Crime Scene Confidential on DiscoveryID, Alina Burroughs. She spoke about two high profile cases she worked, the Caylee Anthony murder and the Pulse Nightclub shooting.

Please watch Crime Scene Confidential and follow her on social media @alinaburroughs

I had a great conversation with Criminal Psychiatrist Dr. Carole Lieberman about some notable cases she's had the opportunity to review. She also let me pick her brain a bit a couple issues of interest.

Please give her podcast Terrorist Therapist a listen. It's available anywhere you listen to podcasts. You can also read her column Inside The Criminal Mind on frontpagedetectives.com.

This is one of my favorite interviews. Everyone knows who Amanda Knox is as it relates to her wrongful murder conviction in Italy. But this interview gives you a chance to get to know who she actually is and how she's turned her experience into a tool for making the world a better place.

Please listen to Amanda's podcast Labyrinths: Getting Lost with Amanda Knox.
