This may come as a shock to you, but Hollywood people are often morally reprehensible.  Shocking, I know.  It's quite reminiscent of how professional athletes are also awful people.  It almost seems like paying people tens of millions of dollars to play pretend or throw a ball around leads to mentally ill lunatics with god complexes.  Who could have possibly seen this coming?
