In 2010, I was essentially tricked into working construction. The plan was to stay just long enough until I could find another high paying sales job. I ended up loving both the work and the crew so I stayed on for a full year.

That year building houses taught me a ton about life, business, and relationships. Alexa and I dive into the story today and unpack some of lessons I learned along the way. I also explain how these same lessons can help you in your everyday life.

An actor's main job, essentially, is to persuade us as the audience to buy into whatever it is they're selling (an emotion, a character, a scene, etc). In today's episode, I sit down with Oliver Trevena (who stars in the upcoming film, "Out of Death", with Bruce Willis and Jamie King) to discuss best practices for building confidence, transfering emotion, and ultimately -  getting the things you want in life!

Today marks 6 trips around the sun together for Jake and Alexa! On this episode, they share their story of eloping on a random bridge in Bristol, England. Jake also explains how it might not have happened had they let their assumptions get the best of them.

Moral of the story - never make assumptions! You don't know what others are thinking so don't make a decision for them!

Today I'm re-releasing an interview I did two years ago with Dababy's agent, Andrew Lieber. Here's why I'm dropping this a second time:

1) When I interviewed Andrew, we were in the green room of one of Dababy's shows at a 500 person venue. Not many people had heard of Dababy at the time (including myself). Today, Dababy is arguably the hottest rapper on the planet. He's a 6x grammy nominee, has had 18 songs on the Billboard Top 100, and has over 1 billion Spotify streams for one song alone (Rockstar). As a result, Andrew's company has skyrocketed. He was recently labeled, "Hip-Hop's New Power Agent" by Pollstar, the largest live entertainment publication in the country.

Listening to Andrew discuss topics like persistence and overcoming rejection - right before he'd blow up - is an eye-opening and special experience to say the least.
