President Trump allegedly saying “shithole” had interesting repercussions in the media. Editors found themselves in unchartered territory, unsure whether or not they should censor the President of the United States...which opens the door to a very interesting conversation.

Yesterday, Jillian Lanthier joined us on the program and explained what happened when her son was denied the drug for the third time.  So are we tackling the expensive drug issue properly?

This week, protestors chained themselves to trees in Surrey’s Hawthorn Park to halt development of a new and controversial road. This type of activism is nothing new in our province - in fact, it’s become something we’re well known for. Today, we call them activists; however, 30 years ago, they would have been known as “punks.”

To dive deeper into BC’s history of activism and anarchy, Niki Reitmayer spoke to Dr. Eryk Martin - history professor at Kwantlen Polytechnic

-Winter storm warnings continue for various parts of the province -- that includes the eastern Fraser Valley.  Environment Canada says even with the snow largely tapering off, the cold Arctic air continues to move in.  That means some wind, snow, and a threat of more freezing rain this morning.

-For decades, mental health has been the loser of medical funding.  It came last on the list when health care dollars were divvied up.  But recently it was announced that 100 million dollars was donated to mental health research in Toronto by an anonymous donor.
