In this episode, Brittany tackles a question so many Christian women struggle with: How do you navigate fasting when you’re working through disordered eating or battling negative body image? Cycle syncing, sex, mental health, politics – These are all topics that are not brought up enough in today's churches. And that's why on the podcast today, I’ve invited my friend Blake to have a real conversation with me about how we deal with some of these taboo subjects when it comes to things like women’s health for Christians.
Blake is a small town Louisiana girl who's made a living out of saying what everyone else is really thinking. She's the host of the wildly popular podcast, Confessions of a Crappy Christian and author of a book by the same title and spends her days covering American politics and social media while homeschooling her two daughters.
And in today's episode, Blake and I have a fantastic conversation about things like cycle syncing and women's health. It’s full of hard truths, good laughs, and so much fantastic education.
A few things you can expect to hear in this episode include:
⛪️ Some candid conversation about navigating mental health issues within the pews of the Church
🩸 What cycle synching is and how to increase awareness about how each phase of your menstrual cycle impacts your physical & mental health
🏋🏻♀️ A fun fact about how and why your ability to lift heavy isn’t the same week to week
📖 Why we’ve got to start challenging social norms and get back to what Scripture ACTUALLY says
⛵ How to begin getting more comfortable with letting go of people pleasing and not be afraid to rock the boat
