-Advent emerges from the northern hemisphere’s natural change of seasons.
-The days get darker, growing seasons are followed by harvest, then winter’s rest.
-The Advent wreath: evergreens and increasing candlelight.
-The third Sunday, the lighting of the candle of joyful hope.
-Advent rest invites calm, quietude, and self-reflection just as the bustle of Black Friday commercial Christmas kick in.
-“A shoot shall sprout…”. Can you look for the new growth right where you feel most chopped down?
-Christmas is placed near the winter solstice, the darkest time of the year because Christ is the light that is coming into the world.

-What’s it like to die of dementia?
-Shelby’s not a natural death/ sudden, accidental, traumatic.
-He knew CLEARLY afterwards what had just happened.
-Clarity was important to this categorically thoughtful lawyer.
-He created an exaggerated frustrating story. He’d lost what was most important.
-Am I losing my mind, or have I temporarily misplaced it?
-Others arrive in an afterlife healing place and gradually regain their clarity at a comfortable pace.
