I love the scripture from Alma 37:6 "By small and simple things are great things brought to pass. "
Today’s episode is all about two simple things that can help with your overall well being: sunshine and smiling.
These are two free and easy things to implement into your life.
I wanted to talk about both sunshine and smiling because they can often be overlooked. I know in my life that if I can get outside and get sunshine on my face, no matter what the weather is, I feel better.

Today we are talking about how drinking water can help reduce anxiety. Just as a reminder I am sharing all kinds of small and simple tips that can help reduce anxiety. There is not a magic pill that can eliminate anxiety from our lives. Typically it is a series of changes that we can incorporate into our lives that will have a major impact on anxiety.
Today we are talking about the impact drinking water can have on anxiety.
Health researcher, Dr. Tracy Davenport said “Even mild dehydration affects the brain’s ability to think clearly and regulate mood. It’s like running a car with low oil- it will go, but not very well.”

“We need roughly 6,000 daily steps, to reduce feelings of anxiety and depression.”
“Lucifer will encourage you to misuse and to minimize the importance of your physical body… ” (Elder David A. Bednar, 2009, “Things As They Really Are”)
Today we are talking about the impact of our thinking on anxiety.
The way we think directly impacts anxiety. This may be obvious to you if you deal with racing thoughts or what some people like to call intrusive thoughts.
Today we are talking about meditation and how it can help reduce anxiety.
President David O. McKay (1873–1970) said: “We pay too little attention to the value of meditation, a principle of devotion. . . . Meditation is the language of the soul. It is defined as ‘a form of private devotion, or spiritual exercise, consisting in deep, continued reflection on some religious theme.’ Meditation is a form of prayer. . . .
“[It] is one of the most secret, most sacred doors through which we pass into the presence of the Lord.”
Teachings of Presidents of the Church: David O. McKay (2003), 31–32.
If you are dealing with anxiety in your own life or the life of a family member you may have begun to realize that the answer is not necessarily a magic pill or one thing that you change. The answer may come in a series of things that need to be changed. Life is about change and becoming the best versions of ourselves and typically if you are dealing with anxiety, there is more than one change that can help.
So, today I am going to dive into how changing our morning routine can be one of those things that helps us reduce anxiety and live more confident, healthy, happy lives.
