The JRPG Report

Warning! This podcast will discuss all the major spoilers. If you have not played this game, you have been warned. The first half is mostly ok no plot spoilers. However after the Anchor ad, all bets are off and its nothing but spoilers. I hope you enjoy this discussion. I've talked about many things but might have missed some. It's a huge 3 game arc after all. Thanks for listening!

To celebrate our 100th episode of the podcast, we have a great normal show. Nothing special I'm just thrilled to still be doing this every week. On episode 100 we talk all about Persona 5 Scramble's Japanese release and Royal's upcoming western release. New media and info was shared on each. We also have FFVII Remake, Kingdom Hearts, and a few other topics to discuss. Plus a look ahead to this week's Sunday Special as well as a Facebook discussion topic. Thanks as always for listening. Here's to 100 more!

Sunday Specials are always different but this is a whole new idea. I figure why not? Here is the soundtrack for the Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III Soundtrack. They call it the Symphony of Class VII. I'd love to know if you would like to hear more of these? So sit back and enjoy!

Episodes on back to back days? Love is surely in the air. I just could not wait to give my thoughts on the amazing FFVII Remake Opening movie. Head over to the Facebook page if you still haven't seen it. But Square Enix wasn't the only company feeling the love today. Atlus released it third and final movie for Persona 5 Scramble the Phantom Strikers. With just a week until its Japanese launch, they showed a lot of action and some terrifying bosses. Plus Atelier Ryza hit a big sales number along with a few other stories. I give my thoughts on why after 20 hours, Ryza is by far the best in the series and worthy of a pickup. Thanks for listening. Please let me know if you want more shows like this when news breaks or prefer a weekly podcast full of it all.

Hot off the presses, Square Enix's latest media dump shines new lights on several areas. We learn about Red XIII and Professor Hojo, Tifa's battle abilities, and even see the Nail Bat in action! They talk about summons and the new mercenary quests that will add length and content to the game. It's all exciting news that answer some burning questions about the game. We have a full show of good stories including the western release date for Sakura Wars and a possible Trials of Mana demo. Thanks for listening each week dear JRPG enthusiasts.

Final Fantasy VII Remake released its latest trailer titled "Theme Song" and boy does it show a lot. Maybe too much. I talk a little about what it does show but this game is dangerously close to revealing too much. We got a great video explaining what Persona 5 Scramble is all about, unfortunately it's in Japanese. Plus many more stories including the future games in the Legend of Heroes saga. Thanks for listening!

After last week's hour episode, we return to a more normal time length as news was lighter this week. The big story was the addition of a new Phantom Thief to Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers. I detail him and the two cities from its latest trailer. A few other stories are mentioned and we have some fun on the Facebook page with our listeners. Thanks for listening each week!

2020 is shaping up to be a huge year for our genre. At the end of the podcast I'll narrow down my top 10 of the ones I'm looking forward to the most. It's my list so it won't match yours. I'd love to hear your list on the Facebook page. We have some news about Kingdom Hearts around its release of Remind. And some other stories too. At just over an hour, Episode 95 is our longest podcast to date! Thanks for listening.

Delays are a part of life in the gaming world. We learned of a short but big delay to Final Fantasy VII Remake this week. It is being pushed back from March 3 to April 10 for more polish. Here my thoughts on this and much more in Episode 94, full of JRPG goodness. At the end we crown the winner of our listener support sweepstakes. Thanks for listening each week!

It's a light news week but we have some fun stories to mention. Persona 5 Scramble the Phantom Strikers had it's second video drop and its full of good info. The title looks very promising with more info coming next week. Not much else happened so I dive into the latest rumor that Final Fantasy VII Remake's Demo wont release until March 3, the same day as release. I'm sure we'll have more on this story soon. Thanks for listening each week!
