On the night of August 21, 1955, several members of two families claimed to have encountered strange, small humanoid creatures that they described as resembling goblins or aliens. The families involved were the Suttons and the Taylors, who were gathered at the Sutton farmhouse for a social gathering.
According to their accounts, the encounter began when the family members saw a strange, glowing object in the sky. Later that night, they reported that several small, silver beings with oversized heads and glowing eyes approached the farmhouse and began to peer into the windows.
Terrified, the families claimed to have shot at the creatures, but the bullets seemed to have no effect. The creatures allegedly retreated into the darkness shortly after.
The incident gained widespread attention and was investigated by local police as well as military personnel from nearby Fort Campbell. No concrete explanation was ever found, and the incident remains a subject of debate among ufologists, skeptics, and curious onlookers. Some believe it was a case of mistaken identity, while others speculate about extraterrestrial visitors or even hoaxes. Regardless, the Kelly Goblins incident remains one of the most famous and bizarre alleged encounters with otherworldly beings in American history.
