This week, Mx. Dizzy and Pup Rekkr talk about some Queer History in a new mini-series of The Kinky Tavern!  They started their research for this portion at the beginning of the “new world,” America. Of course, so many of the timelines found are very ethnocentric to America and there’s not a wealth of easily found information for other areas of the world, though we do plan to dig them up to share with you! So, our story begins (in this episode) with the Puritans of Jamestown. Mx. Dizzy and Pup Rekkr discuss a ton of events relative to history and specifically, to queer history! We end in the 1920s, where, spoiler alert, the public perception of non-conforming people is still not wonderful. Join us to see the progress and continue to do so in future episodes. Learning our history is important, and honestly, finding historical facts about queer culture is fascinating to me!
