The Contrarian has been suspended from introducing himself on the podcast because he thinks it’s funny to keep messing it up over and over. The Kook gets straight into talking about Diddy’s trial and delivers one of the worst dirty pun jokes you’ll ever hear. Talk moves to Habeus Corpus and Trump Administration talk that it might be suspended. The Kook thinks this is the only way to get ‘illegals’ out. The Contrarian wants to know how you ever know anyone’s status. Can’t anyone be deported to a foreign prison then? The Contrarian also doubts the Kook’s conspiracy credentials since Trump is exactly the sort of wannabe authoritarian totalitarian that conspiracy theorists have been warning about. They next discuss Trump’s executive order reducing prescription drug costs. The Contrarian thinks this is just empty theater. The Kook thinks this will lead to the end of pharmaceutical company profits which means they’ll go bankrupt and the ‘real cures’ can emerge.
Season 2 starts with the Contrarian still unable to get past the opening segment. After a quick discussion of the Satanic Panic and Jeffrey Epstein, the Kook has some insider information on how weird Elon Musk is. The Contrarian has heard worse and wants to talk about tariffs and why they won’t work. In trying to end the podcast, they end up squabbling about immigration and deportations.
The Kook sure sounds like a liberal when he opens the episode preaching that a government should take care of its citizens as opposed to put them to death. Then he brings up fluoride. The Contrarian meanwhile is pitching an idea out loud so he can pitch it to real comics. Take prank calls / ambush roasts / and hidden camera skits to make conservative politicians and personalities miserable. This devolves into another squabble about abortion.
After too deep a discussion on karma after the Kook happens on the aftermath of a tragic accident in Brooklyn that killed 3, they move to Corrections. The Contrarian follows up on whether non citizens can vote in NYC. This leads to a discussion of term limits and whether Antonin Scalia was assassinated. The second correction confirms that baby foreskins were used for a skin lotion in South Korea but that doesn’t mean the babies were murdered. Surprise surprise this brings us to how Jewish babies sometimes get herpes. Finally they get to the main topic of the week - Signalgate. The Contrarian thinks this is one of endless scandals. The Kook thinks it is no big deal. The finish with a discussion of how certain members of Congress got rich. The Contrarian agrees DOGE should look into corruption but not investigation without looking at Trump has any value.
The Kook is back from Kentucky and seeing this girlfriend / practicing with his militia? Within seconds they’re arguing whether MAGA hats are hate symbols. The Contrarian points to anti-immigration bullying under Trump and this leads to a discussion of whether non-citizens are voting and swinging the elections for Democrats. The Kook thinks so. The Contrarian thinks it’s hard enough to get anyone to vote, much less people who risk prison to vote. This gives way to an argument over how effective DOGE is. The podcast concludes with the Kook providing therapy for the Contrarian who can’t seem to completely move on from his breakup last year.
The Kook and the Contrarian are back after a couple of weeks off. This episode weirdly has few diversions. The outbreak of measles in Texas gives way to a discussion of Zelesnky and Trump and America's role. The Kook finally sneaks in talk of baby foreskins on the Ellen Show to end the episode.
The Kook is thrilled DOGE found DEI government waste iin USAID. The Contrarian thinks finding $25,000 or about. 000001% waste isn’t worth mentioning and that’s IF the money was spent on a trans opera as reported in conservative media. The Kook follows with praise for Trump for talking about cutting Social Security taxes. The Contrarian wonders why they should cut social security taxes on the wealthy who don't the payment. The Kook gets bored when they start talking about the US National Debt and Trump’s role so he changes the topic "red doors" in Hollywood. If they were famous, the Kook would get sued for repeating a internet rumor that fingers were found in Happy Meals. The Contrarian for the first time ever gets the Kook interested in something he’s saying when discussing the Mongols and how they affected the developments of the Middle East. They then get to the one pre-agreed on topic - chem trails. The Contrarian has barely ever spent so little time fact check-ing. Also RFK Jr. believes in Chemtrails.
The Kook and the Contrarian are back, at lest the Contrarian is. The Kook got even more Kookie over the break? Brigitte Macron, the first lady of France, is transgender? The Anne Frank Diary was written in ball point pen so it’s fake? Instant fact check - the diary is clearly written with a fountain pen. https://blogs.timesofisrael.com/reclaiming-anne-frank-for-holocaust-remembrance/. Did you know that there is a black square in the East Village, Mecca and a hexagon on Saturn? The Contrarian still doesn’t understand this connection. There are nordic style aliens? And there was an anti-semitic Elmo in Times Square according to the Contrarian? And yes the Kook and the Contrarian are old and can't remember they discussed this in a previous episode. https://nypost.com/2023/02/24/nycs-evil-elmo-now-tormenting-calif-as-cookie-monster/
After veering into a discussion about the national debt and Trump’s attitude towards veterans, the Kook wants to talk about why and how the Contrarian hit a rat with a frying pan. After this confession is done, the finally get to discussing drone sightings over New Jersey. Is there any connection to crop circles? They close the episode arguing over the moon landing again and John McCain’s role in the USS Forrester in a special double follow up corrections segment. The Kook thinks McCain was executed by Trump for being a "rat" and the Contrarian thinks that theory should be hit over the head with a frying pan until it's dead.
After discussing when and what culturally frowned words can be used in polite conversation because the Contrarian's father thinks the Kook is driving away female listeners, the Kook and the Contrarian fall back into a discussion on the moon landing after the Kook brings up Elon Musk’s proposed trip to Mars. “How can we go to Mars if we haven’t gone to the moon?!” The Kook claims. After getting nowhere on this topic for a very long time and a video where Buzz Aldrin maybe says the Moon landing didn't happen, they move to the Contrarian’s dating life which continues to be eventful. He went on a date with a woman that made a patent lawyer cry. He also is sometimes seeing a Russian woman who might be in a situationship but she left out a very crucial detail when she asked for advice. It's life and death. The secret here is not STI’s but they both have stories and opinions to discuss. Corrections revisits John McCain's role on the USS Forrestal in 1967. Then they run out of the time
