  • Episode 57 - Day 63 - Carnivore Diet: Are your bowel movements related to your period or your diet?

My stomach issues are better today, so I'm thinking that getting my period could be the culprit for it being a little wonky. I was a bit tired yesterday, but there are other factors to consider. At times, it's not just about what we eat; it could be that you didn't sleep right the night before. For me, I was up at 4 in the morning with my son coughing, and didn't sleep well after that. Then, we had to get up and get the kids fed and ready for soccer. I think this had to do with it, on top of the fact that I started my period, which can also cause fatigue. But even with not sleeping well the night before, I have to say, I felt pretty good with energy other than having a short period where I felt tired.

I read that when you get your period, your serotonin levels may fluctuate significantly. This can lead to a major dip in your energy level, which can also affect your mood. Your fatigue may also be caused by sleep issues linked to your physical premenstrual symptoms. So, if this is true, it makes sense.

  • Episode 56 -Day 62 - Carnivore Diet: Menstrual Impact & Microscopic Colitis Ups and Downs!

Today we talk about menstrual cycles, microscopic colitis, anxiety, and post-meal fatigue.

The question that keeps me up at night (well not really but it is super annoying) is whether the menstrual system can trigger stomach issues or if it's a dance with microscopic colitis, perhaps influenced by what I'm eating?
I share personal observations of heightened anxiety during my period and the peculiar fatigue that follows with my favorite bacon and pork sausage.
Join me in today's discussion about my ups and downs. Your insights and experiences are always welcome in this ongoing health exploration!
