Through the composition “Fracking and Me,” AKT transforms scientific data, seismic recordings, field recordings and testimonies from affected communities into an immersive sonic experience that blurs the line between science and art. In the piece, hydraulic fracturing, an oil and gas extraction method, is introduced as a destructive practice linked to water contamination, methane emissions and induced earthquakes, resulting in the increasingly prevalent devastating state of affairs when it comes to the lives of humans, animals and plants.

Paléficat tells the story of the uncertain future of a piece of land. The certainty of a landscape

transformation, the new face of which almost no-one yet knows. Probably the disappearance of the last traces of the market garden belt in the Toulouse metropolitan area.

The wifi just broke down and there is no music on my computer. Dang, what am I gonna listen to ? Hm... I do have an old hard drive though, and a handy recorder. I wonder what's stored in there, probably old random recordings I barely remember doing ? Let's dig into my digital archives, and why not create new ones.

Thinking back to simpler times, back to childhood, back to birth. We are born with nothing and without needs. I tried to imagine a state where there is no internet, no constant distraction. This mix consists of records in my collection – the only possessions that really mean anything to me. These are some of the sounds I would choose to surround myself with, if there was nothing else left. Mostly post-punk from 1979 to 1989 – a decade of progress and computers, but also of music that went back to the basics – mourning the loss of innocence.
