At the tender age of 8, Samuel Boehlke embarked on a road trip with his father from Portland, Oregon, to Crater Lake, Oregon, in October 2006. Following a day filled with hiking and sightseeing, the father-son duo engaged in a playful game of hide and seek.  However, as the time came to leave, Sammy sprinted up a hill into the woods and mysteriously disappeared.

Authorities launched a thorough search effort that spanned a full week, enduring sub-freezing temperatures. Despite their efforts, no clues surfaced. The lingering questions surround Sammy's fate: Did he lose his way in the woods, succumbing to the elements? Could he have somehow found his way to the lake and met a tragic end by drowning? Or does the mystery take a more sinister turn?

Max Castor planned the journey of a lifetime.  At the age of 19, he left Sweden with two friends, arriving in Australia on October 19, 2004 for an epic year-long backpacking expedition across the country.
