The Last Trip

Sebastian Woodroffe, a 41-year-old from British Columbia, journeyed to the Peruvian Amazon in search of spiritual healing through ayahuasca. However, his quest took a dark turn. On April 19, 2018, Woodroffe fatally shot 81-year-old shaman Olivia Arevalo Lomas, though his motive remains unclear. In response, locals took justice into their own hands, lynching him in a vigilante act captured on video and later shared on Facebook.
What led to these tragic events? How did two lives come to such violent ends deep in the Amazon?
Listen as we dive into Peru, Ayahuasca, the case of Sebastian Woodroffe, and how to stay alive on vacation.

Initially, it was believed that his plane had crashed, but no wreckage was ever found. The mystery took a strange twist when a secret operative contacted his family, claiming that Jerry was still alive and being held hostage.
With puzzling clues that may or may not be credible, the question remains: What really happened to Jerry Krause?

Donovan Cameron, a professional boxer from England, traveled to Las Vegas to train at Floyd Mayweather's gym but never returned home.
He was last seen alive on the night of January 10, 2019, by his wife of nine months. While she claimed he was battling depression and took his own life, his family strongly suspects foul play.
Investigations by authorities in the US and England reached different conclusions about Donovan’s death, leaving many questions unanswered.
What is certain, however, is that Donovan Cameron went to Las Vegas—and something went terribly wrong.
Listen as we dive into Las Vegas, the case of Donovan Cameron, and how to stay alive on vacation.

But just a few weeks after his arrival, on January 31st 2003,
Matthew left an Irish pub and disappeared without a trace.
His disappearance triggered an international search across Europe,
with several unconfirmed sightings reported until around 2006.
After that, the trail went cold.
Many theories have emerged about what might have happened to Matthew,
but as of today, he remains missing.
His case continues to be one of the most mysterious disappearances
involving Americans abroad.

In early June 2024, Taylor Casey left her home in Chicago to attend a month-long yoga retreat on Paradise Island, Bahamas.
With over 15 years of yoga practice, she was eager to earn her teaching certification and bring back her newfound skills to share with her community.
However, on the evening of June 19th, after leaving a class, Taylor vanished.
This is not a cold case. Taylor has been missing for just three months, and her family is still actively searching for her. We need to keep her story alive—continue sharing her name in the media, post missing person flyers around the Bahamas, and consider donating to support the search efforts.
Listen as we dive into The Bahamas and the Sivananda Yoga Retreat, the case of Taylor Casey, and how to stay alive on vacation.

At 21, Mieke Oort left Massachusetts after graduating high school to pursue her college education in the Netherlands.
Like many college students, she was embracing this new chapter—immersed in learning, exploring, making friends, and dating.
However, her life took a tragic turn when she connected with a man on Tinder. After a few dates, Mieke decided not to continue seeing him, but he began stalking her and, on March 6, 2022, brutally murdered her.
The case, which became widely known as the "Tinder Murder" in the Netherlands, stands out because unlike many other cases, we know what happened to Mieke, and her killer was apprehended.
I believe this case is important to highlight because many young people travel abroad to study, often unaware of the potential dangers they might face.
Listen as we dive into the Netherlands, the case of Mieke Oort, and how to stay alive on vacation.
