The Last Trip

At the tender age of 8, Samuel Boehlke embarked on a road trip with his father from Portland, Oregon, to Crater Lake, Oregon, in October 2006. Following a day filled with hiking and sightseeing, the father-son duo engaged in a playful game of hide and seek.  However, as the time came to leave, Sammy sprinted up a hill into the woods and mysteriously disappeared.
Authorities launched a thorough search effort that spanned a full week, enduring sub-freezing temperatures. Despite their efforts, no clues surfaced. The lingering questions surround Sammy's fate: Did he lose his way in the woods, succumbing to the elements? Could he have somehow found his way to the lake and met a tragic end by drowning? Or does the mystery take a more sinister turn?
Sammy's case is not an isolated incident, as numerous mysterious disappearances and deaths have been reported near Crater Lake. Many speculate that myths and legends may play a role in these unsettling occurrences.
Listen as we dive into Crater Lake, the case of Samuel Boehlke, and how to stay alive on vacation.

Britt Lapthorne, a young backpacker from Australia, enjoyed her solo journey through Europe... until she reached Dubrovnik, Croatia.
While at a nightclub with friends, she was separated from the group and never made it back to the hostel.   Almost three weeks later, her lifeless body was discovered in the Adriatic Sea.
While Croatia officially labeled it as a death resulting from "misadventure", compelling evidence suggests the possibility of murder.
Amidst swirling rumors, there are allegations of a police coverup, a mysterious call from her phone during the period she was missing, reports of other travelers encountering attempted abductions in the same vicinity, and a list of potential suspects.
The circumstances surrounding Britt Lapthorne's demise raise questions about the true nature of events leading to her tragic end. What transpired on that fateful night in Dubrovnik remains shrouded in uncertainty.
Listen as we dive into Croatia, the case of Britt Lapthorne, and how to stay alive on vacation.

Max Castor planned the journey of a lifetime.  At the age of 19, he left Sweden with two friends, arriving in Australia on October 19, 2004 for an epic year-long backpacking expedition across the country.
Six months later, Max's friends returned home.  In a perplexing move, Max sent all his personal belongings, along with his money and plane ticket, back to his family. Accompanying this package was a note indicating his intent to vanish.
And vanish he did. The mystery surrounding Max's disappearance raises a multitude of questions.  Was there an unforseen accident, or did foul play enter the equation? Did he make the heartbreaking decision to end his own life, or did he opt for a fresh start, walking away from his previous life?
Despite the uncertainty, Max's father clung to the belief that his son was alive. He tirelessly searched for Max until his own passing in 2020. The lingering question persists: Where is Max Castor?
Listen as we dive into Australia, the case of Max Castor, and how to stay alive on vacation.

Robyn Gardner, a 35 year old woman from Maryland, flew to Aruba for a tranquil vacation with Gary Giordano, a man she had met online.
Two days into her vacation, they stopped for lunch and proceeded to Baby Beach for a snorkeling excursion, only for Robyn to vanish without a trace.
The inconsistencies and suspicion surrounding Gary’s account led to his arrest on murder charges.  However, he was eventually released due to a lack of sufficient evidence for prosecution.
This case is a gripping roller coaster of emotions and perplexing clues, leaving the lingering questions: Did her companion play a role in her demise? Was it an unfortunate accident, or was there another reason for her disappearance?
