    Chase Down Your Passion Like it's The Last Bus of the Night. ~~ Terri Guillemets
    Terri Guillemet's quote about passion stresses how important you should make it.  When you have a passion for something, you should treat that passion seriously.

    When you feel that desire in your heart to be something, to do something, to mean something, you should be so serious about it that you give it the same energy you would if you were alone at night and you had to catch the last bus of the night or you would be walking 20 miles home!

    This is a very meaningful vision many of us that rely on mass transportation share. We never want to miss that last bus of the night. That would mean we are stuck somewhere that we don't want to be. Because of this fear that we have we will expend all of our energy to run as fast as we can to catch "the last bus of the night."

    Don't let your passion get away from you. Go after it!

    Champions aren't made in the gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them - a desire, a dream, a vision.     -- Muhammad Ali

    Muhammad Ali, Cassius Clay. I am the greatest!  In boxing, he was! I used to watch Muhammad Ali box on TV when I was young. I loved listening to Ali and Howard Cossell go at each other. I am sure it was a choreographed event, but it was always an event.

    In his quote, Ali tells us the truth. Champions are not made in the gym. Champions are not the people that just show up and do their daily work outs. The Champions are those that have something deep inside them:

    * A Desire
    * A Dream
    * A Vision

    I think that is Passion. They have a passion that drives them to be the best at what they do. The Passion of the Champions has that desire to be the best. They have the dream to be the best, to be the Champion. And, they have the ability to Visualize themselves where they want to be, At the Top.

    Champions use visualization to SEE themselves At The Top! To Be The Best! Muhammad Ali would see himself knocking out his opponent in the ring and putting that Champions Belt around his waist after holding it high, proclaiming to the world, I Am The Greatest!

    Ali made himself The Greatest, not only in his mind, but in the minds of millions by visualizing himself Being The Greatest. By being able to see himself as The Greatest, Ali Became The Greatest!

    You are the greatest! You have the ability to be the greatest and you start by Visualizing YOU as The Greatest.

    You start by Seeing You Doing What It Takes! You start by visualizing you reaching that goal you want to achieve. You feel the feelings and emotions you will have when you achieve that goal you set.
    You have the Power To Get The Goals You Set!

    Visualize Yourself as a one of the Champions

    I skate to where the puck is going, not to where it has been.  -- Wayne Gretzky
    Walter Gretzky, Wayne's dad trained and instilled in him the mantra "Skate to where the puck is going, now where it's been.",  while he was growing up.

    Wayne Gretzky, nicknamed "The Great One", did what his father taught him. And, he has been the only hockey player that has been able to actually do that effectively.

    The Great One's record is unmatched and he is one of the all-time best hockey players, EVER!

    I believe that he was able to skate to where the puck was going because of visualization. I believe that in practices growing up, Wayne, worked on the advice his father gave him.  Now, I am speculating here, but if you know Wayne, you can ask him to come on Goal Getting Podcast and explain it for us.

    But with visualization, you want to imagine the puck where it will be going. This takes imagination AND a lot of work. Why work? I believe that he watched the way the pucks moved on ice, over and over again. Constantly watching how they moved when he hit them and when others hit them.

    Know how the pucks work, you can then start using visualization to imagine the puck moving across the ice and see where it will end up. Knowing the possible trajectory of the puck and skating to where it will be and seeing yourself being there and what you do after you get there, prepares you for the times when it is there and then you can comfortably respond and do what you need to do.

    You can do this because you have seen yourself doing it over and over again in your mind.

    See yourself where you are going. See yourself being where you need to be. See yourself doing what you need to do when you are there. See yourself SCORE YOUR GOAL!

    I have a system of ridding my mind of negative thoughts. “I visualize myself writing them down on a piece of paper. Then I imagine myself crumpling up the paper, lighting it on fire, and burning it to a crisp'.
     -- Bruce Lee
    Bruce Lee was one of my favorite heroes when I was young. Unfortunately, he died too young. But he left a lasting legacy for all martial artists and people that want to get the goals they set in general. There are many quotes attributed to Bruce Lee.  This is one of my favorites.

    Bruce Lee used visualization to help him clear his mind of limiting thoughts. The vision of seeing himself writing down his negative thoughts on paper and then crumbling them up is a very positive vision. But Bruce didn't stop there.

    Bruce then took that crumpled up, wrinkled piece of paper and lit it on fire. That was a second way to get rid of the negative thoughts. But Bruce, in this exercise like most things he did, he took it further and watched it BURN TO A CRISP! That thought makes it so much more emphatic that you destroyed the negative, limiting beliefs.

    How do you handle your negative thoughts?  Do you visualize burning them, or cutting them out of your life? How do you get rid of those negative thoughts?

    Let me know in the show notes at Goal Getting Podcast / qod48 - go to the comments section and tell my how you get rid of your negative thoughts.  What are your most limiting thoughts you face?
