Andy Stanley Leadership Podcast
1. Influence outpaces authority.
One of the biggest myths in leadership is that you have to be in charge, in order to lead. All you need is influence. Leadership is all about influence and you can have that wherever you are.
2. You'll learn more under a bad boss than a good one.
Time under a bad boss doesn't have to be worthless. You can learn many lessons on what NOT to do when you are in charge from a bad boss.
3. None of us are in charge of everything, but you are in charge of yourself.
Everyone is tempted to point the finger and blame others for what didn't go well. Good leaders take responsibility for their actions and realize that even though they aren't in charge of everything they can do something to lead well.
