When it comes to fitness and working out, there has always been a huge focus on body image. People are either trying to create the 'perfect' looking body or fix parts of their body they are not happy with. In an attempt to desperately achieve this, there is usually a huge price to pay in the sense that the relationship with both food and working out can become damaged. Not only this, mental health issues surrounding body image and the pressures of trying to keep up with what is seen on social media, can easily develop. This episode is about how I switched from working out for appearance and instead, put performance first. Once this change was made, my physical appearance started to change. I was looking stronger and leaner without having to try and force it to happen.
