TW: Trans deaths/suicide/mental health 

Today conversation is an important one. With trans youth having some of the highest rates of suicide, it’s time we had a conversation about why positive visibility, education and representation is so important for our communities survival. 

To make this conversation a little more soft we are joined by one of my best friends and chosen family members Sandy Mcintyre. Sandy, as well as being an enby icon is an Actor, Model, Writer, Producer and founder of Queerful - a space to tell queer stories, share queer experiences and educate not only those within the community but those who are cis, heterosexual and may have some questions unanswered.

In this chat we highlight a channel 7 spotlight piece about de-transitioning and how media representation such as can profoundly negatively affect the lives of queer people, especially our queer youth. We get into the nitty gritty of representation and what we think needs to be done to shift culture from the inside out.
