    • New Years Resolutions - Planning and Goal Setting for 2022

In this week’s podcast episode Paula is talking about new year’s resolutions and setting goals.

A common misconception is if you haven’t planned your year by 1st January then you shouldn’t bother. NO you’re never too late to plan for the year.

      1. First set some SMART goals, these need to be specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time sensitive. For example, if you would like more clients, how many more? How much is each client worth?
      2. Keep your goal in mind, you can create a vision board, screensaver etc. You need to keep seeing these goals so they’re at the forefront of your mind. You could even create a dream jar, so you write one goal on a piece of paper and put into a jar or box to pull one out every day to spend a couple of minutes visualizing achieving that goal.
      3. Another thing you could do is a gratitude jar which every week you write down what you are grateful for and what you have achieved so then at the end of the year you read through them all. It reminds you of what you’ve done over the year in business and personal life and can be motivating.
      4. Planning in small steps - planning your goals but in weekly, monthly, quarterly, chunks in order to achieve your year goals.
      5. Weekly & Daily Planners: https://thelandscaperscircle.co.uk/product-category/success-collection/

      6. Reacting To Our 2021 Year In Review Video

In this week's podcast episode, Paula and Charlotte are talking about our year in review and what this means for you and your business moving forward.

What is a year in review video?

It looks over all your highlights and successes of the year to reflect back on and see what you have achieved. You don’t have to do this as a video, even just writing down all your successes is a good way to then reflect and review. You can then share snippets of these as a social post on your social profiles.

If we set you the task to look at your year, and take every month and write down one big or small thing that you have achieved in your business, you’d be amazed at what you will find and you will have 12 things.

This also helps to plan your year ahead to see where you can take your business in the upcoming year.

        6. Virtually Limitless - The Importance of Reviewing

In this weeks podcast episode Paula and Charlotte are reviewing their recent event Virtually Limitless and how you can use reports to improve your marketing.

Virtually Limitless Replay available here - https://thelandscaperscircle.co.uk/product/virtually-limitless-2021-replays/

          What is Virtually Limitless?

It is an online event ran by us for garden designers, landscapers, has a horticultor business or supplies to the industry. The speakers were Mark Gregory, Neville Wright, Neville Stein, Capability Charlotte and Daniel O’Neill.

Every Event TLC do, we always produce a report to have a look at what worked better then other things, how many tickets we sold etc.

TOP TIP: Produce a monthly marketing report to have a look and what is working better than others, most schedulers or email systems will already have analytics in them to have a look at.

          • Learning From A Show Failure

In this week’s podcast episode Paula and Charlotte are talking about a recent show they exhibted at and learnings from it.

Grab your ticket for Virtually Limitless - https://hopin.com/events/virtually-limitless/registration

What you sell is what you sell - For example, if you say you can install a water feature but you don’t normally do it and it went wrong, you should’ve reccomeded someone or said we can’t do it because it is not the client’s fault.

Good customer service and winning a customer back - Listening and understanding your client’s frustrations. Try to see things from their point of view with an honest conversation and work out how you can put it right.

Communication - If you’re going to say something make sure it is true because if a client finds out you are lying they will lose all trust.

Staffing - Having staffing issues cannot be an excuse!

Having everything in writing - Make sure you keep all emails to refer back to if they try to say you didn’t tell them things. For example, a supplier had a delay on a delivery so that if you have an issue with the client you can show them what the supplier has said.

TOP TIP: Getting the customer to sign contracts. Paula uses Docusign so that if the client thinks they are getting something different you can show they have signed the contract which says exacty what they’re getting.
