Time management is an essential skill that Blake had to learn at an early age. In this episode Blake talks about his time management and how crucial it has been to the success he has achieved in selling real estate and his multiple businesses. Blake shares a story from years ago when he spent an entire day playing a video game and beating the whole thing. It was an eye opening experience when he realized how he had wasted an entire day effectively doing nothing.
Blake shares his daily routine that involves waking up as early as 3:30 AM, and how a routine is crucial to mastering time management. Blake says the most limited commodity that you have available to yourself is time, and you are the one that needs to choose how to spend that time. Kill the traditional way of thinking, kill the traditional questions you're asking yourself in business and really seek to explore bigger and better ideas from yourself. Today Blake talks about how the traditional way of thinking is killing a lot of people's businesses and opportunity. Blake gets a ton of questions like "how did you build your business?" "What's the answer?" "Give me the path to point A to point B." "What did you do from day one to get you here?" Blake talks about the importance of new ideas and how he used new ideas throughout his career to find success.
If you find yourself at a roadblocks in business, Blake says he wouldn't go out and seek the answers that you know of. "Let me go find this answer really quick." Is not a solution. While there might be some useful information out there, Blake says that it doesn't stimulate any new growth or new ideas when you seek answers this way. You want to creatively find a way to solve a problem.
