He talks honestly about how his physical illness affected both his wife and family, even tough his wife was having a tough time as well as her own issues with her own father and mother. A great podcast from Helen who talks about looking after the kids, changing jobs, home schooling not only her own kids but other kids and parents; on the other side of the computer screen. Her tip is to get out and mix more and speak about what you are going through. Take care of others mental health as well as your own.

Her hints and tips to her survival of the Lock Downs; respect you down time. Don't be a hero. Put measures in place and try not to develop new habits, eating , dirking etc.

Continuing real lives, real stories, real people, The Lock down Legacy talk to Sean about his time in and out of lock down and also speaks very openly about his own journey of mental health challenges. He works for a housing association and has spent many months looking after the mental health of many of his companies tenants. Not just as housing repairs, but many of the tradesmen see themselves as mental health support lines, checking on tenants. His hot tip, try and roll with it and it is ok to be ok.
Lisa is a Senior Community Mental Health practitioner in and around Gainsborough. Here she talks about the tribulations of setting up a new team during the pandemic and how difficult it is when there is compulsory home working an d no face to face connections. Her hints and tips, quite simply, stay connected as best you can. Try and engage and talk to people, do not suffer in silence. Do things what make you feel good, such as sing a longs to ABBA. She talks openly about her struggles with moving house and her mental and physical stuggles during her time in Lock Down. A very open and honest recounting of her time in the lock down and how she dealt with it all.
Another insightful, honest and very moving pod cast from Kate, a community nurse. She talks about her role in the community during her lock downs and is also very honest when she tells us that she even started to plan her own funeral, as she was in so much fear of catching covid from one of her patients and then passing it on to her family. Luckily she has survived and is here to tell us her story.
