This week on The Gralien Report, another week in the weird ensues as we launch into a discussion about Heinrich Himmler’s secret library on witchcraft, and what this had to do with secret British Naval intelligence operations carried out during the Second World War. We also take a look at the science behind asteroids and comets, in addition to spending a bit of time on the subject of strange sleep patterns, and a secret Chinese space station in Patagonia that has many intelligence experts raising their eyebrows.

This week on The Gralien Report Podcast, after an opening segment remembering Micah’s late grandfather, as well as a few odd occurrences from the Hanks family history books, we turn our attention to something strange Micah recently heard on The Alex Jones Radio Show. Has the famous conspiracy talk host been reading books by Richard Dolan?

Then we celebrate what is, arguably, one of the nerdiest holidays we’ve ever come across: “Pi Day”, in celebration of the date of March 14th (a date which bears the same characters as the famous pi sequence). More specifically, 2016 is known as “rounded pi” day, which particularly has certain providers of specialty pizzas excited… no, seriously. Also, we examine an odd update about an unidentified man, whose body was discovered on an English moor just last December. New evidence has surfaced that indicates this story is even stranger than it already seemed…

Finally, Brian Bresler, musician and cohost of the Beyond the Strange program, joins us to discuss recent controversy that has erupted surrounding statements made by Jesse Hughes, frontman of the Eagles of Death Metal, following their performance at France’s Bataclan theatre on the night of the 2015 Paris Terrorist attacks. Many feel that Hughes has suggested that things he and other band members noticed that night indicated foreknowledge of the attack, with some going so far as to assert that it had been an “inside job” or “false flag.”

Hughes has recanted his statements, but apart from this latest affair, there are still those who have gone so far as to assert that Hughes and Co. were themselves involved with the tragedy in some bizarre way. We break down the various ridiculous assertions made by conspiracy theorists, before turning our attention to the subject of A.I. that will soon allow us to communicate with the Internet… and for it to “talk back”. As is often asked, will this be a good thing, or maybe something that has dangerous potentials?

If Clinton is elected, will we learn anything new about UFOs? If history is any indication of success that other Presidents have had, we may have a bit longer to wait. Then again, there are the remaining questions about whether UFO information is indeed being withheld, as well as whether it meets the “extraterrestrial” expectations that many hold about UFO disclosure. The truth, whatever exists behind the scenes, may be far more different than most would imagine.

Then in hour two, Jason Pentrail joins us to discuss ancient sea “monsters” like the megalodon. With a background in environmental science and cultural studies, Jason is an expert on fossil creatures and marine biology of the ancient world. He is a native of Charleston, South Carolina, and his interest in creatures of the ancient oceans has helped inspire interest in modern Fortean and cryptozoological subjects just as well, all of which we discuss with him this week on the podcast.

This week on the Gralien Report, we examine the story of "moon music" Apollo 11 astronauts reported hearing, as well as other anomalous sounds in nature.

This week on The Gralien Report, every once in a blue moon there is a new film that catches Micah’s attention, and one in particular has been creating quite a stir lately for its eerie content. “The Witch” plays off of American folk legends about old hags and witchcraft, which leads us into an examination of why the “witch archetype” exists in folklore and fairy tales. Micah presents an example based on a legend from his home state in North Carolina, in addition to looking at how sleep paralysis fits into the equation, with a unique story about a legendary haunted hotel.

We also examine a number of stories in the news that include a strange coincidence involving reports that an Uber driver went on a shooting rampage over the weekend. Also, some bioethicists are concerned about “rogue scientists” that might exploit gene editing therapies… and what are we to make of a recent New York Times piece that suggests some cancers may eventually become contagious?

Finally, the big story this week has involved new reports from old classified recordings which indicate that the Apollo 11 astronauts described hearing strange “moon music” in their journey around the far side of the moon. We look at this, and what the possible sources of the “music” they heard might have been, in addition to looking at a variety of unusual sounds in nature, many of which are described as “music” or whistling.
