Disclaimer: Tony and LaBeth are NOT personality assessment experts. We use our professional and personal experiences in the fields of Bible/Theology and Psychology/Professional Counseling to discuss this very interesting topic. Parts of this podcast are purely speculation and not spoken of directly in the Bible. KJV Bible was used in all references. Information concerning his life can be found in 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Chronicles Passages referenced: 2 Kings 2; Ecclesiastes Solomon lived in Israel, was the second son between David and Bathsheeba and he reigned after David as the 3rd and final king of United Israel from 970-931 BC. Solomon likely came to the throne when he was a young man (maybe around 20). He had 700 wives and 300 concubines. He wrote the books of Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, and Proverbs. He’s best known for asking for wisdom from God and for having the temple built. It is said he reigned during “the golden age of Israel.” Solomon was guilty of extreme idolatry, marrying foreign women from many nations to keep power and peace, like his dad, women led him astray but unlike his father he did not repent. He was diplomatic, knowledgeable, insightful, wise, strategic, logical, and he enjoyed solving complex problems. Listen as Tony and I discuss Solomon’s life and personality and draw lessons we can all learn from him.
