This week, Drewby and Yergy head to the seaside town of Blackpool, UK, to discuss the case of 14-year-old Charlene Downes, whose case remains the Lancashire Police's longest running unsolved murder investiagtion. Charlene vanished after meeting a friend near Blackpool's North Pier on November 1st, 2003. Her body has never been recovered. Charlene's disappearance (and presumed murder) uncovered a string of grooming gangs in the areas that targeted young girls living in poverty, who often swapped sexual favors for food, money, cigarettes, or alcohol.

This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Wembley, North London, UK, to discuss the case of Mee Kuen "Deborah" Chong, a 67-year-old Malaysian-born devout Christian who suffered from paranoid schizophrenia. At the time of the events of this week's story, Deborah has befriended 38-year-old osteopath, Jemma Mitchell, whom she met through her church group. Jemma and her mother were living in a dilapidated £4 million house and desperately needed funds to complete a failed renovation project. Deborah initially agreed to lend Jemma £200,000 but rescinded the offer days before her death, advising her to sell the house instead. On June 11, 2021, CCTV captured Jemma walking into Deborah's home with a large, seemingly empty blue suitcase. She spent over five hours inside, during which she fractured Deborah's skull, broke her ribs, and decapitated her. Motivated by resentment and greed, she murdered her friend and forged a fake will that named herself and her mother as the sole beneficiaries of Deborah’s entire £700,000 estate.

This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Brownwood, Texas, to discuss the case of HardiQuinn Hill, a 9-year-old girl who died of severe malnutrition and abuse on August 22, 2022. Her mother, Dawn Faith Hill-Flesner, and her mother's girlfriend, Jamie Faye Anderson, both pleaded guilty to capital murder in 2023. : Child protective workers found that HardiQuinn and her 11-year-old brother lived downstairs in severe filth with trash and locked refrigerators. In contrast, the two adults lived comfortably upstairs with air conditioning and plenty of food. Neighbors and family had made multiple reports to the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services before her death. In one instance, her mother had even abandoned her in a remote cemetery at midnight, but the system failed to save her.

This week, Drewby and Yergy travel to Bali, Indonesia, to discuss the case of Sheila von Wiese-Mack, a 62-year-old Chicago socialite who was bludgeoned to death by her daughter's boyfriend, Tommy Schaefer, in a plot masterminded by her 18-year-old daughter, Heather Mack. The couple then stuffed her body into a suitcase and abandoned it in the trunk of a taxi cab, which was discovered by police after the suitcase began to leak blood. The primary motive? Greed. Heather and Tommy plotted to kill Sheila to gain access to a $1.5 million trust fund.

This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Warsaw, Indiana, to discuss the case of Sarah J Gibbs, a 34-year-old autistic woman who was brutally killed in her apartment. On December 19, 2014, first responders rushed to a duplex fire on East Smith Street. Inside the home, fire crews found Sarah's badly burned body in the living room. While the fire at first looked like an accident, a closer look by the police changed everything. An autopsy proved that Sarah was murdered before the fire was set. Her family shared that she had been stabbed to death. The killer used a chemical accelerant to burn down the home to cover up the crime. As of the date of this release in June of 2026, Sarah's killer or killers have never been brought to justice. There is a $10,000 cash reward for tips that lead to an arrest.

Kumanjayi Little Baby was a five-year-old Aboriginal Warlpiri girl whose tragic death in Alice Springs, Australia, in late April 2026 prompted national mourning and widespread calls for child protection reform. Following cultural traditions, her real given name is no longer used, and she is respectfully referred to by the community as "Kumanjayi Little Baby"Kumanjayi Little Baby was abducted in the early hours of April 26th, 2026, from the Old Timers town camp in Alice Springs. Her disappearance sparked a massive, five-day search by police and over 300 local volunteers.Her body was tragically discovered on April 30th, 2026, approximately 5 kilometers from where she was last seen. A 47-year-old man, Jefferson Lewis, was arrested and subsequently charged with her murder.

This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Wisconsin to discuss the case of a 14-year-old girl, whom we'll be referring using the pseudonym, "Emma." Emma was subjected to severe child abuse and neglect, and was hospitalized in November of 2025 after weighing only 35lbs.

The teen was discovered by police after her father called 911 when she became severely ill. She was admitted to the hospital with extreme malnourishment and multi-organ dysfunction. In the hospital, she was able to regain weight and eat normally, which contradicted the family's claims that she had autism and simply refused to eat.

Those arrested were her father, Walter Goodman, her stepmother, Melissa Goodman, her stepsister, Savanna LeFever, as well as Savanna's girlfriend, Kayla Stemler.
