We're 6 days into June, which means we are officially in "hurricane season". As we prepare for that season, Bill is a little concerned about the plans he has for his anniversary.

Today is the 80th anniversary of D-Day and we spent some time remembering the sacrifices of our troops on that fateful day.

Carmen has picked a book to read for the summer days and it is How To Tell The Truth by Preston Perry. 

These days AI is a big topic  of conversation. One of Dave's sons has worked with AI and his daughter to create their own bedtime stories, complete with illustrations. 

Not only is today D-Day, there are several other reasons that today is commemorated. 

Carmen's days on her calendar are filling up with all sorts of medical appointments. 

One day last week, while we are at an industry conference, Carmen sat down to interview Brandon Heath's daughter, Palmer Heath. We'll share that with you, one day next week. Any way you slice it, French bread is only legal if it has 4 ingredients. And Publix shoppers have a new flavor of sliced bread to try when ordering a PubSub. 

Any way you slice it, the term "follow your heart" is not sage advice. 

Some may consider it the greatest thing since sliced bread. The Chosen Season 4 is now available on The Chosen app.

Bread is on the grocery lists for many. But it may be lower on the list of new parents where diapers take the top spot. Carmen told us about a diaper brand that donates bundles to pro-life organizations when you buy a bundle from them. 

Bill's granddaughter wants to break bread with everyone as she goes through potty training. 

Any way you slice it, supercommuting can be rough. But it can also be time spent with the Lord as you go about earning your daily bread. Dave's dad was a supercommuter back in the day and he would often break bread together with others in his carpool. 

In response to Bill's BIG Word yesterday, emulsifiers, Carmen learned that emulsifiers can be found in your food too in  unexpected ways. 

The Cheddar Bay Biscuit is a bread product that may just save the restaurant that makes it. As long as they continue to get help from the likes of John Oliver and Flavor Flav.

It's the first day of our Bigger Summer Funner contest with your chance to ride all of the rollercoasters at Busch Gardens! And the entire show was a bit of a rollercoaster ride as well. You could win at any point this week from 7am-7pm and we got our first 3 winners this morning.  

At a Christian Radio conference last week, we were awarded the first ever FUN Award for an On-Air Blooper. But Bill was thrown into a bit of a curve when he was prepared to accept the award for a different audio clip. 

It's been some ups and downs in the College Baseball tournament for Dave's LSU Tigers. 

Bill tried to put a loop into a game at his daughter-in-law's Baby Sprinkle. But, it turns out, that he was the one that was in for a surprise. 

Carmen took us along for the ride as she shared some thoughts from Joe L. Barnes on the Goodness of God.

There was a lot on our minds today! Dave shared that the creator of Precious Moments passed away recently. 

Bill had so much on his mind that he wished his son a Happy Birthday on the wrong day! 

Jules has been thinking about Idols recently. And she also told us a bit more about the most recent JOY Story. 

Bill, is known as the book worm on the show. Because of that, he often gets credit for bringing certain books to the show. 

After we cleared up who brought Luther to the show, Bill did have another book in mind that he had to share with us.

Do you recall the time Dave lost 10 lbs while eating McDonald's for a month? He did it in response to Morgan Spurlock's documentary, Supersize Me. On Friday, we learned of the passing of Spurlock after complications from cancer. 

Do you recall the last time you went on a roller coaster? You could have your chance to relive those memories starting next week. 

Carmen can't recall the last time she read a book as difficult at Luther by Eric Metaxas. But she can now proudly say that she has finished the text. 

We remembered the lives of a missionary couple that was killed over the weekend in Haiti. 

Dave told us how he got bitten by several fire ants on Saturday and that led to Bill recalling a couple of memorable moments from his Memorial Day weekend and an irrational childhood fear. And he was not alone with the recalling of those irrational childhood fears. 

Carmen celebrated her wedding anniversary over the weekend. But when writing the card to her husband and recording for Monday's show on Friday she couldn't recall exactly how long they have been married. 

Dave shared a couple of stories about records being set over the long weekend.

After seeing an influencer in a pair of sweatpants that look like jeans, Carmen is considering multiple pairs just to see them in person, but she's counting the cost of them as too steep for that.

It's been a long week and Carmen may be thinking ahead to the long holiday weekend as she thought today was Friday. But she kicked off with a great new song from Blessing Offor and Dolly Parton. That led to Bill sharing a thought on being true to who you are. 

As we look ahead to Memorial Day, Bill thought it would be good to distinguish between Memorial Day and Veteran's Day. 

WIth the increased travel coming up, inflation is on the minds and Bill tells us the number that is now considered to be "rich" as well as "how much car you can afford". 

Dave's wife was craving pickles yesterday and it reminded him of a recent trend on TikTok where people would run to Sonic for a Dr. Pepper with pickles in place of a cherry. 

We got some insight and other suggestions over text and a few corrections too! 

We got the latest update on the foreclosure of Graceland. 

In other legal matters, there are a lot of questions being raised over 5 Americans being detained in Turks & Caicos. 

Back in the States, a New Smyrna Beach family was surprised to find a 10-foot alligator in their backyard pool. 

Speaking of New Smyrna Beach, a contestant from there and a couple of other contestants from other parts of our listening areas were the finalists on Master Chef Jr. Dave told us about the impressive skills and menu from these children. 

For dinner the other night, Carmen was at a restaurant that had Wagyu beef on the menu, which is something she was not all that familiar with.

Carmen and family celebrated Abbey's birthday with dinner. While the food was great, the service was a little lackluster and Carmen was determined to win the waiter over.

Discipleship and Evangelism are forms of service that we as Christians are called to. Preston Perry addresses that in his new book, How to Tell the Truth. 

Without knowing it, Carmen has been of service to Bill with her recommendation for Bee Propolis.
