The self-checkout lane was designed to improve upon the customer experience. But is it working? Some say yes, while others say no. If Carmen is buying produce that helps determine if she'll use the self-checkout lane. 

While going through TSA, Carmen has had some trouble with her picture being accepted by the screening. Apparently it is an issue with FL Driver's Licenses. 

With Mother's Day coming up on Sunday, Bill gave us a bit of a history lesson but is there a way to improve upon the day that has been taken over by commercialization.

Dave had some news this morning that had to be shared first thing. Carmen did something for the first time over the weekend while traveling when she watched the Kentucky Derby and saw Mystik Dan take first place. 

She was traveling to attend the funeral of our former coworker, Steve Swanson. And she had to make an unexpected trip to WalMart for a different outfit option. 

Ivy League schools have long been viewed as the foremost option in higher education. But that view is shifting in recent times. Bill shared a list of private and public colleges and universities that are now seen as the "new Ivies". 

Dave shared a list of the top safest airlines and you might be surprised to hear which airline took first on the list .

Carmen traveled for the first time by carry-on only and now understands the appeal. 

It wasn't first on the box office list for top grossing films, but Unsung Hero is still in the Top 10 after this weekend. 

Does the run time of a movie play a part in your decision to see it in theatres? Dave shared a survey that found the ideal run time for many moviegoers is only 92 minutes. 

TikTok is not only a social media network but the first place that some go to get their news. Bill shared some findings on the impact that the platform has on the brain of Gen Z users.

Bill and Carmen made a trip to Nashville recently to sit down for a bucket list interview with CeCe Winans. They chatted about CeCe's new project, More Than This. 

Before we shared that interview, Carmen told us how she is changing it up with her nail colors and going red! 

Today is also the National Day of Prayer. Bill shared a prayer with us and Dave shared some memories of a National Day of Prayer event that he attended some years back. 

We're still buzzing from our time with for King & Country and now we've got some concerts to look forward to in the fall. The tickets for those shows go on pre-sale next Tuesday. 

There was a lot of buzzing going on in one North Carolina home and on the diamond with the Arizona Diamondbacks. 

If we had a red carpet to roll out, we would certainly do that for the incomparable CeCe Winans. She shared some great insight into her new album, More Than This.

Chipotle management found themselves in hot water when they put out a memo to employees to stop eating chicken with their employee meals. They felt the burn and turned that decision over fairly quickly.

2 new moms that were strangers found out they had a simliar taste in music when they gave birth to their children, June Carter and Johnny Cash, in the same Alabama hospital on the same day. 

While Carmen has developed a taste for The Baxters, she has had difficulty digesting the work of Eric Metaxas on Martin Luther. She plans to finish within the next month. 

Some zebras in Oregon wanted a taste of the great outdoors while in transport. They got loose and it took a rodeo clown to help get them back to safety.

It was a busy weekend as many went to see Unsung Hero. So many went that to see the movie that it placed second at the box office for the opening weekend! And Carmen got quite a few notes of praise about the jeans she wore to the premiere as did Bill for his fashion statement. But we're not quite ready to sing the praises of horseshoe jeans. 

Dave spent some time watching the footage of the memorial service for Gabe Patillo, who was TobyMac's right hand man. For more than 3 hours, folks sang the praises of the impact he left while on this side of heaven. 

Mandisa's memorial service was also over the weekend. Carmen spent nearly 4 hours watching the livestream on Saturday where her Dad spoke of her desire to unite people. Her college roommate shared some stories of their mutual love for music and Beth Moore sang the praises of Mandisa from her time with her. 

Bill had the experience of a "normal weekend" and was excited to share how much he enjoyed it! 

Dave often sings the praises of his native Louisiana. But he's unsure just how palatable one dish is near the French Quarter. 

With the news of the tornadoes hitting the Midwest, Bill sang the praises of Convoy Of Hope as they already have boots on the ground in the effected areas.

Carmen got us started with some tips on minimalism. As much as Dave agrees with it, he would add one more item to his belongings if he could afford it. And there are some keepsakes we would all want to keep. 

Carmen and Bill had a chance to sit with Joel and Luke Smallbone during the Tampa premiere of their movie, Unsung Hero. Joel and Luke shared some stories about the making of the film with us. Many listeners made their way to the theater last night and we want people to keep on going over the weekend to let Hollywood know that this is the kind of entertainment we want to see more of.

After sharing a devotional thought from Paul David Tripp, Bill told us how Christians are showing out with their Bible reading and engagement. 

We're excited for the premiere showing of Unsung Hero tonight with for King & Country and can't wait to see everyone show out for it.

While Dave gave us an update on Emilie's latest doctor's appointments, Bill took the opportunity to encourage us to show out and donate blood. Carmen went in a different direction with a reminder to get a mammogram done. 

The boys from for King & Country are known for their fashion sense. With that in mind, picking out the right outfit for tonight has been a task. But we hope she hasn't given up on finding something to wear! 

BIll encourages his sons to show out and date their wives. He shared a list of creative ideas for date nights. 

The NFL will be showing out tonight with the first round of the NFL Draft. And there will be lots of high fives, but the credit for that popular sports interaction goes to baseball as Dave tells us. 

A new streaming show featuring The Baxters from a Karen Kingsbury novel series has caught the attention of Carmen, Michelle and many others.
