  • Curtis Mann “Pink Ribbons Caring – A Charity TV Special for Susan G. Komen,
For the first time ever, during October’s National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Susan G. Komen® Los Angeles County held the “Pink Ribbons Caring… A Special TV Event.” An hour of it, “Pink Ribbons Caring – A Charity TV Special for Susan G. Komen,” will be broadcast at 2 PM on October 31. “Pink Ribbons Caring – A Charity TV Special for Susan G. Komen” will be televised on Los Angeles station KCAL 9. TAP stands for Komen’s Treatment Assistance Program. The goal is to raise $500,000 to meet the immediate needs of breast cancer patients in Los Angeles County through this program. The TAP provides financial support for those going through treatment to cover related expenses that often serve as a barrier to receiving needed care, such as childcare, eldercare, transportation for treatment, portions of rent or living expenses, food, oral pain medication, durable medical equipment, oral chemotherapy and more. This fund provides modest financial support to individuals in active treatment for breast cancer with an income at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level. The demand for assistance regularly outpaces available funds.  Yet due to the economic impact of the coronavirus, with rising levels of unemployment, more people than ever are likely to need assistance. Last year, TAP served nearly 4,500 individuals nationally, including 462 in California. It is estimated that a third of those in treatment for breast cancer in the U.S., may qualify for this assistance. Yet at current funding levels, Komen can only reach 6% of those who are eligible. The public’s support will directly assist many of these vulnerable families now when they need help most.  Susan G. Komen Los Angeles County serves the nearly 10.1 million women and men across 88 cities.

  • Dr. Mother Love & Mr. Kennedy,on The Last Debate, COVID 19 & McConnel's hands
In a more sedate, more substantive and more respectful sequel, the candidates still had plenty to squabble over. With just 12 days until polls open on Nov. 3, Trump and Biden sparred over the President’s handling of the pandemic, how to lower health care costs, taxes, immigration, racial justice and climate change. Both appeared to accomplish what they came to do. Trump took a page from his 2016 playbook, painting his opponent as a corrupt career politician and himself as an outsider, despite his perch as an incumbent President. He launched unfounded attacks, inflated his accomplishments and curbed some of the haranguing that turned voters off in the first debate.

  • Dr. Mother Love & Mr. Kennedy on, Jeff Toobin exposed, Betsy DeVos' 94% denials
A federal judge issued a scathing rebuke to Education Secretary Betsy DeVos for issuing mass denials of student loan forgiveness applications. “The Secretary’s new perfunctory denial notices... contradict her original justification for delay, raise substantial questions under [federal law], and may impose irreparable harm upon the class of student-loan borrowers,” Judge William Alsup, of the U.S. District Court in the Northern District of California, wrote in his decision yesterday.  The latest volley in Sweet v. DeVos concerns the troubled Borrower Defense to Repayment program. the Obama administration enacted regulations governing this loan forgiveness program in 2016 to provide student debt relief to students who were misled, defrauded, or otherwise harmed by predatory colleges and universities – often, for-profit schools. Jeffrey Toobin suspended  from the New Yorker and asked for time off from CNN for pleasring himself while on a Zoom call.

  • Heather St. Marie, Dauzat St. Marie, MORE THAN PINK WALK™,
Dauzat St.Marie is a Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter duo comprised of Mat Dauzat and Heather St. Marie. Their debut EP “Falling Again” is a collection of well-crafted tracks that showcase Heather’s intoxicatingly rich voice and the duo’s tight vocal harmonies as well as the duo’s undeniable songwriting chemistry. The sound is powerful and often quite raw with focus on their two voices and only sparse acoustic instrumentation. Their live show is intense and dynamic, and the strong messagery and honesty creates palpable connections to their audiences. Gaining the attention of Grammy Award-winning hitmaker and heartthrob Rick Springfield in late 2015, Dauzat St. Marie became a direct support staple on Rick’s “Stripped” solo acoustic series shows in the U.S. for a few years. The success of that pairing led to Dauzat St. Marie getting the invite to join Rick Springfield (full band) and current Rock & Roll Music Hall of Fame nominee Pat Benatar for a full U.S. summer tour in 2018.  Dauzat St. Marie is currently in the studio putting finishing touches on their sophomore release due out in mid-2020. Catch them on tour this summer in the U.S. and Canada with music heavyweights Chicago and Rick Springfield.  Susan G. Komen is the world’s largest breast cancer organization, funding more breast cancer research than any other nonprofit while providing real-time help to those facing the disease.

  • Allen Maxwell, Ret. Naval Officer and Author of "The System is Unforgiving"
What kept me alive and striving in my life was the identification and adherence to the 15 Rules of the System as listed below.  I built many of these rules before I was even 30 years old, so I am speaking to the young when I say that if you play your cards right, you can set yourself up for life. If you are older, or in middle-age like me, then you get to reflect, reform and move forward with greater wisdom than you ever knew you had before.  Take my Rules of the System as your own, or make your own set of rules, but either way, let the life you have lived, and the systems you have navigated and are currently navigating, inform you of your compass. You cannot go wrong, even if situations or people go haywire on you in your ascension in life. You will have the rules to fall back on and course correct you in all scenarios, big and small. If you apply these Rules of the System, authorallenmaxwell.com, to your life, regardless of the kinds of people or the landscape, the results will be positive. My personal life experiences best illustrate my development and application of the rules, and therefore I share them wholeheartedly with you.  Culture, race, creed, or color do not come into context when navigating the system. This is one of the first hurdles for you to overcome or it will hold you back.  Imagine what you can accomplish if you continue to apply the rules to your life that you have learned from each experience. That is working the system.

52 Black ex-franchisees file a $1 billion racial-discrimination lawsuit against McDonald's, claiming the company sent them on 'financial suicide missions' The franchisees say they were forced to close or sell more than 200 McDonald's locations because of "systematic and covert racial discrimination.  "One franchisee in the complaint described acquiring McDonald's locations as a Black franchisee as a "financial suicide mission." "Based upon our review, we disagree with the claims in this lawsuit and we intend to strongly defend against it," McDonald's CEO Chris Kempczinski said in a video message on Tuesday morning. Activists worry Trump's visit to Kenosha will only 'distract away from the healing' in the aftermath of Jacob Blake shooting and unrest. But organizers and protesters told Insider they're concerned his appearance in their city may stir the pot and lead to more chaos."We think Trump is here to distract away from the healing that Kenosha needs to do, to take advantage of the opportunity for his political gain, and use this as an opportunity to divide the country even further," Dwight Williamson Jr., project coordinator for Black Lives Matter Milwaukee, told Insider. Are we getting stimulated with another round of checks or the 600.00 from unemployment?
