August is hair loss awareness, amiga. Our guest today is someone we admire dearly, because she continues to show us how you can show up confidently in spite of her hair loss.
Yomarie "YoMo" Castellano is a proud Puerto Rican and female hair loss empowerment coach and advocate. As a hair loss warrior for the past 10 years due to Androgenic Alopecia, YoMo understands the emotional and physical impacts of hair loss. Her mission is to help women facing challenges in their hair loss journey reclaim their confidence, ignite their inner chingona, and thrive through personalized coaching. She provides guidance and support to help women cultivate a positive self-image and navigate the obstacles surrounding hair loss. Hair Loss Bonita is YoMo's brand and movement, dedicated to empowering women with hair loss to embrace their inner beauty, reclaim their power, and overcome challenges. Beyond her work as a coach, YoMo has overcome a difficult challenge in her life. After struggling with alcohol abuse for 17 years, she has chosen to live her life sober and authentically. In June of this year, she celebrated her 4th year of sobriety, marking a significant milestone in her journey. Her personal experience has taught her the importance of resilience, self-care, and the power of taking control of one's life. Now, YoMo is dedicated to helping women facing their own challenges due to hair loss and other obstacles. She believes that every woman is a chingona and deserves to feel confident, empowered, and beautiful.
In this episode Yomo shares
-What has helped her on her journey with Alopecia
-How community changed everything for her

Want to know the number one thing that got me out of my comfort zone and helped me surround myself with like-minded people?
Attending in-person transformational events! YES, attending events changed everything for me. Especially those events that were intentional on getting people who were going after big dreams all in one room.
Attending events impacted me so much that I knew I needed to create these type of spaces for my community.
In this episode I shared the three ways how attending events changed my life:
1. I've made life long friendships and connections.
2. The opportunities I've gained because of the people I was exposed to in these type of events.
3. The spark of inspiration and motivation I get every time I attend these events.
I hope this episode inspires you to attend an event and challenges you to put yourself out there. You are one event away from connecting with your dream community amiga.

Imagine encountering every obstacle possible to pursue higher education. Many would have given up, but this only made our guest stronger to go after her big dreams.
Cristina Villanueva always knew she was meant for more. She immigrated to the United States as a child with her single mom and sister, and knew she wanted to accomplish the things her single mom never had a chance to do.
When it came time to start applying for college she was faced with the scary reality that she was not a U.S. citizen. As an outstanding student, with many university offers, she had no idea how she was going to afford school as an undocumented student, but luckily she had a mentor that wanted to pay it forward.
Since then Cristina has done everything in her power to pay it forward, by helping other Latino students and professionals get the tools they need to make their dreams come true.
Today, she is the COO of a tech startup called Negozee and the CEO of Ambas Financial, an all service tax company helping Latino owned business get their books in order.
On this episode Cristina shares:
-What helped her overcome so many obstacles
-How community and your people are so important in your journey.
-How to surround yourself with people who will support you
-How to become an intentional leader

Do affirmations really work?
I get it. Repeating and affirming something when we might be feeling lost or overwhelmed might not seem like it's doing a lot, but affirmations has truly changed the game for me.
Studies have found that affirming our abilities or positive attributes can enhance performance in certain tasks and increase motivation.
Research even suggests that affirmations can reduce stress levels.
But affirmations alone won't do the trick, and after using affirmations for the past four years to help me accomplish some of my biggest goals I wanted to share with you how I've been able to use them effectively.
On today's podcast episode I share:
-Some of my favorite affirmations.
-Why setting intentional affirmations is and how to do it.
-Affirmations alone won’t work, doing the inner work is SO important.
-Finding the perfect formula that works best for your to practice affirmations.
Make sure you tune in to this episode to learn more and to listen to some of my favorite affirmations.

Amigas, one of the most empowering things to do when leveling up and working on ourselves is facing the things that scares us, and one the biggest things I have seen Latinas feel ashamed or scared of talking about is debt.
Money mindset and Financial freedom is a HUGE part of what we talk about here on the podcast so I wanted bring on an expert to help us level up!
Our Guest today is Founder, CEO and Wealth Coach, Luzy King.
Luzy King is an award-winning Latina Wealth Coach. She became a first-gen investor after learning about investing and wealth building by accident through her MBA program in 2019. During the same year, Luzy was denied access to financial advice because she didn’t have $100K to start investing, and she made a commitment to learn things on her own and become the first one in her family to start investing. Now she is passionate about teaching women of color all of the strategies she wishes someone would have taught her in school. Luzy is a certified trauma-informed Financial & Business Coach, contributing author, and Community Leader. Luzy is on a mission to detigmatize the idea of wanting more money, more money more options. She is ready to teach women of color how to build a legacy through stock market investing and entrepreneurship.

-The steps you can take to leverage your debt
-The importance of having someone guide you through your money journey

What does the not so glamorous side of entrepreneurship look like?
Hola amigas, I wanted to share some of my thoughts on the other side of building your business or big goals that we don’t often talk about because I know it is important to share that as well.
In this episode I talk about:
-Getting super clear on what your bandwidth is and what you can currently add to your plate.
-Reflecting on your current actions and if they match your results.
-I shared 3 journal prompts to help you reflect and how to learn from your current situation.
I share this in hope that it inspires you and motivates you to KEEP GOING. We all go through different seasons in our life and business, but it’s these very moments that will build us into the resilient mujerones we are!
