Gianni Versace is a household name in the fashion world; he was an out queer man who built a fashion empire from the ground up. Gianni’s life was cut short when he was gunned down on the front steps of the Miami home he shared with his life partner in 1997. His killer was on a killing spree, and was a gay man himself who seemed to be targeting other gay men. Andrew Cunanan murdered Gianni Versace, the man who embodied all of the things Andrew found most important: looks, fame, reciprocated love, and money.
