Who remembers the whistle girl? A video of the young lady lading blowing a whistle while dancing went viral on social media just before we went to lockdown in 2022. Well, her name is Renei Solana and she’s not just an entertainer. In true definition of sizenza zonke, photographs of her have been making rounds this week, for different reasons this time around. The social media sensation from Attridgeville graduated from the University of Pretoria where she was studying towards a Bachelor of Arts degree. Renei Solana joins us now.

Classes were suspended at Effingham Secondary School in Durban today. This follows a fight that broke out in the school as it deals with allegations of racism. A private security company was called by the school. Videos from the incident have caused uproar on social media as armed security guards are seen manhandling and dragging students. In one of the videos an officer in Durban Metro Police uniform is seen pointing a gun at one of the students. We are now joined by KwaZulu-Natal’s Basic Education MEC, Kwazi Mshengu.
