The Netty Life

This week we take a deep dive into men’s netball and discuss the challenges boys and men face to play the sport we all love.

Our special guests are Australian Sonix player and elite coach Eugene Lee and former NSW player and director of the first men’s netball doco — Rising to Occasion — due to be released later in the year.

We also analyse all the action from RD6 and ponder whether fatigue might be setting in for some teams at the midway point of the competition.

Round 5 of the 2021 Super Netball season has been the best yet, with extremely tight matches and a great start to the first half of Indigenous Round.

This episode features analysis from former Australian Diamond and proud Dunghutti and Gumbaynggirr woman, Sharon Finnan-White.

As well as an interview with Indigenous shooter and Kaniyan-Noongar woman Donnell Wallam, who is on the rise in the UK's Super League.

While we ponder whether the NSW Swifts and Melbourne Vixens made the right signings for their 2021 rosters.

There are some big administration changes at the top of netball this week, while NRL Canberra Raiders coach Ricky Stuart lands in hot water for some casual sexism and an arrogant "apology".

We chat with Queensland Firebirds and Aussie Diamonds shooter Gretel Bueta about being a new mum and making her way back to the top of her game.

While Super Netball RD3 has us pondering whether the Lightning will recover and how Jhaniele Fowler can be stopped.

GIANTS, Lightning and Fever are looking strong already this season with back-to-back wins. While Collingwood midcourter, Kelsey Browne joins The Netty Life to discuss her team's hopes for 2021.

Also on the agenda, Kate and Britt question how the NSW teams can get the best out of their new venue. While West Coast's salary breach continues to be a hot topic.
