Earlier in his career, he was a Moscow correspondent for the Chicago Tribune during Mikhail Gorbachev’s rise through the collapse of the Soviet Union. In light of Gorbachev’s recent passing, Roger and Thom reflect on his legacy as well as on events in Russia today.
