THE NEWSROUND: Healy wins Tour de France stage | Sabalenka knocked out of Wimbledon | Osborne called into the Lions
Cameron Hill and Richie McCormack join Eoin Sheahan on Thursday’s Newsround, on a day that Irish cyclist Ben Healy became only the seventh Irish rider to win a stage on the Tour de France, the first since Sam Bennett in 2020.
Elsewhere, Aryna Sabalenka’s search for a maiden Wimbledon title goes on, as she was defeated in the semi finals by Amanda Anisimova.
And Andy Farrell has added another Irishman to his British and Irish Lions squad, with Jamie Osborne being called in as cover for the injured Blair Kinghorn.
