Today I had the absolute pleasure of being joined by friend and 'hermano', Michael "Rod" Rodriguez. Rod and I met a few months back and were told we needed to talk to each other by a mutual friend. I was really looking forward to digging into his background more when we set up this podcast, and I know you are going to love his story and inspiration.
Rod is the President and CEO of the Global War on Terrorism Memorial Foundation. Rod joined the U.S. Army in 1992 and attended the Special Forces Assessment and Selection course to become a Green Beret in 1997. In 2013, he was medically retired due to numerous combat injuries. His last assignment as a Green Beret came as a Sniper Instructor assigned to the JFK Special Warfare Center (Range 37) at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He has deployed ten times in service to our nation.
If you want to help the cause and get this memorial built, a memorial that Rod describes as, "one unlike any other memorial," you can CLICK HERE and see how you can help.
Enjoy this one!
