The second period starts as a discussion about Albert Pujols and if he will be inducted into the Baseball Hall Of Fame. But it goes into a tangent about Jason's thoughts on why baseball needs to re-examine who their Greatest Of All Time (GOAT). He compares it to other GOAT's in the other professional sports leagues.

Finally we dive into one of the Forgotten Stadiums and Arenas, this one is The Homestead Sports Complex in Homestead, FL. A truly sad story for the town of Homestead but with a good ending.

This week we start off hot by diving into the news of the week with Minor League Baseball (MiLB) voting to Unionize. We discuss how this can improve the lives of minor league players. We talk about the current food stipend for players on the road, how Minor League Baseball is an investment into the future of Major League Baseball (MLB).

The third period is a look back at one of the most fun and possibly the best NHL game of all time, NHL Hitz 2003. Join us as we reminisce, laugh, and share stories of times playing this game, and why we think it is a stand out game that needs to be brought back.

The Not Another Sports Podcast is Back!

We look at who are the favorites to win each division, and who is predicted to win the Super Bowl.

Finally we wrap up the show talking about the 35thAnniversary of The Great Potato Caper. Which is a moment that is part of Minor League Baseball (MiLB) folklore. We get into the story of what happened that night in Williamsport PA on August 31st 1987 when Dave Bresnahan pulled off one of the greatest trick plays in baseball history.

The Not Another Sports Podcast is back!

This episode is a follow up episode from episode 49. Not how it was planned but just how it worked out. We lead off the show talking about the official 11 game suspension of Deshaun Watson. Our feelings on the matter and on him, from there it veers off to Todd Bertuzzi and his actions against Steve Moore in the NHL. As well as the views of the really crazy die hard Browns fans, tailgating, Pizza Pete at Buffalo Bills games, and a lot more.

In the second period we follow up with the news of the BIG10’s new TV rights deal with FOX, CBS, and NBC. We get into how the BIG10 was the longest partnership ESPN had with sports rights dating back to 1979 when the channel first launched. How NBC only aired Notre Dame games, and finally we talk about how this huge TV rights deal can benefit the networks, the BIG10, the schools, and the students not just the student athletes.

Finally we wrap up the show talking about the famous and or infamous bench clearing brawl between the Atlanta Braves and the San Diego Padres on August 12th 1984. Jason has seen this clip many times and David just watched it before we recorded the 3rd period. The NASpod is back!

The newest episode of The NASPod is here!

This episode, we start off with a discussion about the Phillies and Angels firing their managers Joe Girardi and Joe Maddon. We get into their respective careers as managers, the situations with the teams this season where both teams have great talents on the roster but just could not overcome long losing streaks. We get into the issues of analytics in baseball and why we think it might not be everything needed to win a game.

In the second period we get into the news from the Athletic that The Angelos family who own the Baltimore Orioles are suing each other in court. Louis Angelo is suing his Brother and Mother for control of the team. We get into how this has affected the team over the last few years, and what we think should happen for the sake of the fanbase.

In the final period we stick to our talk about managers and coaches and we discuss whether it is the coach or it is the players who win championships.

The NASPod has landed!

On this weeks show we start off talking about the NFL potentially ending the Pro Bowl. In the discussion is the Pro Bowl relevant, especially compared to the other All Star games in professional sports. We also talk about an idea Chad Ochocino had to keep the Pro Bowl around and make it interesting. We through out the ideas of an all-star weekend instead of the actual Pro Bowl itself.

In the second period we talk about the news that the Arizona Coyotes are moving into the Arizona State University Sun Devils arena. The Sun Devils are not allowing the Coyotes to even use their logo on center ice, or have advertisements, and there is a behavior clause that allowed ASU to back out at any time. While humorous, we get into the sad reasons this is happen to the Coyotes. We look at possible relocation spots in Houston, Quebec, Hartford, and Baltimore.

In the 3rd period we discuss Wacky Sports. The ones we talked about are Bossaball, Outhouse Racing, Cardboard Tube Dueling, MJF and the Cardboard Tube Fight League, finally we talk about Yukigassen which is Japanese organized snowball fights, and it looks intense.
