Hyperbolic Identity Politics
The Ochelli Effect 4-4-2019 Carmine Savastano
A bit of a clash emerges from between Chuck and Carmine’s world views on this particular Thor’s Day Ochelli Effect.
Author, Carmine Savastano brings to the table a much-needed discussion about the extreme forms of rhetorical hyperbole that currently dominate debates on social issues and political action. The discussion opened with other issues and at the point where Carmine leaned into the capitalism is freedom section of what he was presenting another debate engaged.
Carmine’s view that the American systems of alleged Capitalism and that We The People are actually represented in the equation cause Chuck to push back. Is the system the issue? Is it FUBAR in 2019? Have identity politics been productive for you? Is someone with a different world view your mortal enemy? Does Chuck just see the entire world as a hostile place? Is Carmine sleep-walking through The American Dream? Do you trust the Kakistocracy and It’s Money Masters?
What is Socialism anyway? Are there already aspects of Socialism built into the “American” system? Is Social security taxation voluntary simply because you can choose to submit to it or conduct business in the “Black Market”? How is corporatism a factor? Is Chuck simply objecting to radical inequality that is either invisible or non-existent to Carmine?
