At school, AB starts to work on an assignment only to find his pencil has disappeared. Then he discovers his backpack and phone are gone too! Bob quickly taps into his detective skills, looking for the BPPT—the Backpack, Phone and Pencil Thief. Sadly, he has difficulty finding a kid in a ski mask, but AB does eventually find his stuff . . . with help from his friends, teachers and principal. He also learns a lesson about responsibility. Getting picked on in gym class is no fun, and so is getting picked last for a team. Average Boy experiences both of those things when the gym teacher has the students play a wild game called, “Crab Soccer.” At first this makes AB crabby, but then he makes a goal in a way you might expect—proving that everyone has different talents.
