Growth happens on the other side of your comfort zone. This is why it is so important to stop hiding in your comfort zone and start going after what your desire.

As you listen to the podcast, think about the following and answer the prompts:

• What stops you from leaving your comfort zone? What are your biggest fears about things outside of your comfort zone?
• How can you reframe/overcome the fears and obstacles you outline in the previous question?
• What new things can you try to solve your problems/achieve your goals?
• What kind of things will you miss out on if you only stay in your comfort zone? What will your life look like in 1/5/10 years?
• What will your life look like in 1/5/10 years when you decide to venture out of your comfort zone? 

This section will make it easier for you to identify the core problem and chart a way forward. Write down the goal you'd want to achieve and write why it is important for you. Write the measurable outcome which would mean you've succeeded or that you're on the right path.

Now choose one goal to focus on and respond to the following:

• The goal that I want to achieve?
• Why do I want to achieve this?

• What habits might slow me down in achieving my goal?

On today's podcast, I'm sharing with you a motto that my grandfather taught me. It wasn't until after he passed that I finally understood the meaning, but it is such a powerful reminder of how important it is to make decisions swiftly and not overthink all of the time.

My most memorable solo trips were booked with little research and planning. Some of those trips were even booked in the middle of the night on a whim!

After listening to today's podcast, my hope for you is to take chances with the knowledge that no matter what the outcome is, you're still winning because you at least tried and hopefully learned something along the way. I also hope you use the new year to stop hesitating about what you desire... especially if you want to begin solo traveling or embrace doing other activities alone.

On today's podcast, we are talking about the power of saying NO.

Too often, we say yes to things we don't want to do. Why is that? 
- FOMO (Fear of missing out)
- People Pleasing
- Avoid Confrontation

Saying NO to the things that don't bring you joy or excite you will allow you to focus on the things that make you feel good.  

It will also create a healthy boundary to let people know your priorities.

With only 2 weeks left in 2022, it is not too late to start saying NO to the invitations, events, and expectations that come during this time of year.

I hope you begin saying NO to what doesn't serve you, and YES to all the wonderful moments that feel good.

When was the last time you did the things you loved when you were a child? For me, it is making art and being creative. Having a creative outlet allows me to feel like myself. But most of us don't make time for the things that once lit us up.  We get so busy with work, family, children, and other responsibilities, that finding the time for things that may seem unnecessary at the moment but are absolutely crucial for you to be the best version of yourself.

Some suggestions I mentioned in the episode are:

Trying a new class or event on groupon.com. Groupon will typically have reduced rates, so you do not have to pay a lot of money to try new things, plus they have a variety of things to try that you may not have even considered before.

You can also join meetup.com to find a local group with the same interests. This way, you can be in a community with other people that want to focus on a specific theme/topic, and you will meet new people while enjoying your passion.

In today's podcast, we're talking all about embracing discomfort. 

Learning how to embrace discomfort has been something I've been working on for most of my life. 

But especially since I started doing this work and solo traveling back in 2012, I had to learn how to step outside of my comfort zone and do things that did not feel comfortable at the time. 

I'm such an advocate for doing things that don't feel comfortable because I know the power behind it. I know that when you start stepping into discomfort, you're going to grow as a person, you are going to evolve, and you're going to come out stronger on the other side. 

Humans are wired not to go towards uncomfortable feelings and discomfort. We want what's comfortable. We want what we know feels good and what will keep us safe. But what happens when you stay in safety? You stay there, and nothing happens. But when you step into the feelings of uncertainty,  discomfort, and unknowingness, that's when you grow. 

Get Comfortable, Being Uncomfortable
One of my favorite phrases that my mentor has told me numerous times is to get comfortable with being uncomfortable. That phrase has helped me through so many challenges in my life. And it's a mantra that I repeat to myself daily. And I want you to have that mantra and use it when you need it. Get comfortable being uncomfortable. It's so powerful because, you know, going into it, you're going to be uncomfortable. But you need to get used to that feeling. That's something that we don't normally do. We don't want to feel it. So we avoid it. But when you embrace discomfort and surround yourself with it and dive into it, you know that you're going to start feeling comfortable with that feeling. And it's going to be less scary.

In today's podcast we are learning how to dream big. When you begin to dream big the first step is to the start with the belief that you are capable of achieving great things. To help you feel capable, you should look for evidence in your past where you successfully accomplished a goal. If you have trouble finding evidence, look for a role model that dared to dream big.
What has held you back from dreaming big? Fear of failure and fear of success can be equally frightening depending on the person. That is why it is so important to know your "why" behind your dreams. When you dream big, it should be something that you desire, not because someone else wants you to do something. Your "why" will help guide you on your journey and be a reminder of the reason for going after such a big dream.
I know you are capable of doing everything you set your mind to. So dream big, my friend!
