Andy Kirkwood is a British writer who today lives in Swanage, a small south coast town on the Isle of Purbeck, within view of the Isle of Wight.  Born in 1957, Andy’s profession was as an electronics engineer.  At thirty Andy elected to travel the world, completing three circumnavigations and was shocked to witness first-hand the ravages mankind was inflicting on the natural environment that we all rely upon for life. 

In the 1980’s, long before most note-worthy scientists, and even before it had a name, Andy foresaw the cataclysm of climate change that was fast approaching.  Since then Andy has campaigned on environmental issues, financial inequality and free speech, performing politically orientated stand up, writing published articles in the press and standing for Member of Parliament on four occasions in attempts to awaken people about these and many other issues. 

Thirty five years on, seeing that not one single issue has been adequately addressed, lead to the realisation that governments do not have the freedom to act in the best interests of the people they are supposedly speaking for, and that the democratic process is itself a sham.

The One Pill Fix is a multifaceted book outlining Andy’s personal journey of discovery where he witnesses the world in trouble, employs diverse attempts to awaken the people to their unseen plight, searches for, and finds, solutions to many issues, subsequently realises that all efforts are fraught as governments are not acting in the peoples best interests but are controlled by hidden powers with personal agendas of control and financial gain, and discovers the ultimate single solution that would solve everything at a stroke, claiming it to be the next step on mankind’s evolutionary journey that we must take if we, and our world, are to survive.  He calls it The One Pill Fix.
